Michale, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I've now seen the Cowboys and, if you read the story, they simply got outhit by De La Salle. I could tell that they were a very good ballclub whose bats had carried them all year long. For a few innings, it looked like they would again but DLS was relentless.

Michale, here's something of an answer to your question. Having not had a radar gun on Slaats either time I saw him this year, I'll tell you he doesn't have an overpowering fastball. What he does have is a very easy delivery, which leads me to believe that he's only going to throw harder as he goes on. That's what makes him so impressive to me, the fact that he is so good now and has so much potential to get better.
As for the Spartans, I haven't seen them yet this year but Cal took them to the mat. We knew before the tournament that DLS would be the favorite (that's what No. 1 seeds are for) and they're proving it so far. We'll see how far the run can last.

How hard does Slaats throw and what other stuff does he have? De La Salle seems unstoppable and peaking at the perfect time.
