Bubble-bursting week for some teams

The final week of the football season is already here. Let’s take a look at some key matchups that could put a last-minute shakeup on the seeding meeting.
Amador Valley vs. Foothill
The Dons are in the driver’s seat for a playoff spot in the NCS 4-A East Bay field at the moment, but a loss to Foothill could make things a little more complicated. Monte Vista is the next team to threaten Amador for a playoff spot at the moment and the Dons own a head-to-head win over the Mustangs. So, even with a loss to Foothill, Amador has a strong chance to reach the playoffs. Foothill has a slim shot to make the playoffs, especially after losing to Monte Vista last week. But to have any kind of shot the Falcons need to win this game. That would at least put a chink in the chain for the NCS seeding committee come Sunday.
An Amador Valley loss would almost assure Deer Valley a spot in the playoffs, given Deer Valley beats Clayton Valley this week.
Monte Vista vs. San Ramon Valley
The Mustangs need a win here combined with an Amador Valley or Deer Valley loss. Even just a Deer Valley loss to Clayton Valley could get the Mustangs in no matter what happens against San Ramon. But a win over the Wolves would again make things more complicated for the NCS seeding committee. The committee would likely have to choose between Deer Valley and Monte Vista for that final spot if Amador, the Mustangs and Deer Valley win this week.
The real question is: Is the third-best team in the EBAL better than the second-best team in the BVAL (Excluding De La Salle)?
American vs. Washington
This could really make things confusing for the NCS 3-A East Bay field. If Washington beats American, there will be a tough choice between Washington, Tennyson and Clayton Valley for the final spot in the field. Tennyson owns a head-to-head forfeit win over the Huskies, but did lose to American. The Eagles are pretty much a lock for the playoffs. An American win will make the debate come down to Tennyson and Clayton Valley for the final spot. I think the Lancers will have the edge in that one.
Tennyson vs. San Lorenzo
Tennyson needs a win here. The Rebels haven’t won a game all year long. But a Lancers loss would probably mean goodbye to playoff hopes.
Clayton Valley vs. Deer Valley
If Clayton Valley can pull out a win here, it might have the upperhand on both Washington and Tennyson for the final playoff spot. On the other hand, a loss probably means the end to Clayton Valley’s season unless they get help.

Your field is pretty good, except that won’t be the order of the seedings. Not sure if you meant to do that or not. I think Northgate might sneak into the playoffs with a win this week. They are going to finish 6-4. Ygnacio Valley doesn’t have any impressive wins and could get knocked out of this thing. They have DLS this week and will finish 6-4 overall. Northgate and Ygnacio have no common opponents so it will be tough to see which one gets left out in the cold. I think strength of schedule should get Ygnacio Valley in when it is all said and done. I will post my playoff picture for 2-A. Look for that.
