I just seen Castro Valley tonight and I have to think they have a really good chance at beating BOD this year. CV can shoot the jumper as usual and run the floor. But the key is this new inside game they have going. That is what they were lacking last year. But they might have something going this year. Anyway, Castro Valley plays Monte Vista Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Washington. I expect The Trojans to cruise to a win in this one, especially since the Mustangs aren’t playing with their complete team.

When you take a look at O’Dowd’s history (12 NCS titles since 1979), I wouldn’t call it embarrassing to struggle against the Dragons. But certainly, you’ll see a day where Castro Valley beats O’Dowd. Look at what Tennyson did a couple years ago under Tom Costello when they swept the season series, including a blowout win at the Dragon Dome. Castro Valley is always competitive, so don’t be surprised if they beat O’Dowd in the next couple of years.

Will Castro Valley ever beat Bishop O’Dowd in vars. boy’s hoops? Embarrassing that a much bigger school has never beaten the small school.
