Live Blog from MLK at HAAS

By Michael Bower
Thursday, January 17th, 2008 at 1:41 am in basketball.

That’s right basketball fans, I will be live from Cal’s Haas Pavilion on Monday to bring you the action here at the Prep Corner starting with Skyline vs. Newark Memorial boys hoops at 4 p.m. The blogging will continue through the Main Event, McClymonds vs. De La Salle _ the No. 1 and No. 2 teams, respectively, in the East Bay Super Poll.

This isn’t going to be an ordinary blog. We will have a halftime video analysis of the games and hopefully some short highlight clips. We will also bring you some post-game video interviews right here at Prep Corner. So don’t stress if you can’t make it out to the Big Game. You will feel like you are right in the stands cheering along here at Prep Corner!

Bower is all over the place these days. I heard he made a guest appearance on the Hoose and Whistle show. Perhaps I can finagle a way to get there an give some more insight.

  2. Jimmy Durkin Says:

Won’t you have to make it the Hoose and the Seats? ha ha!

Anyways, we should be able to bring you some great coverage Monday. I almost feel left out now that I’m just doing the good ol’ fashion story for the next days newspaper. How old school? But we’re going to try to get the camera to follow me around for post-game interviews, so I guess I better come up with some good questions.

What no live blog for the Amador-Galena game?? Galena has that 6-8 kid that just set the Nevada all time scoring record and Amador has the big kid averaging 13 blocks per game???

Come on Mike, stop being so anti-East Bay — spread the wealth around.

  4. Michael Bower Says:

Actually, that is the 2:15 p.m. game. I will see if the crew can make it out to that one. This could be the blog of the future if we can get this video analysis, interviews and highlights thing going. It is going to be a real treat for fans! Obviously, I need more than myself to make this happen, so I will see if Kyle Bonagura and Waterhouse can get out there at that time.

  6. Kyle Bonagura Says:

Ill be there, but the real question is how strong will the DonSquad travel to HAAS?

Hard to make an impact in such a large building, but from what I’m hearing the Dons have the early edge in the EBAL 6th Man war. If they play their cards right, they may be get some video attention on Monday.

  7. dmiller Says:

I am sure they will represent
