Below I have every semifinal game, boys and girls, divisions 1 through 5. Picks are due by 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27. If you didn’t participate in the first or second rounds, who cares, join the fun now.
—————————————————————————-
Copy the list of games below, paste it in a new comment to this post. Erase the team you think is going to lose. If you don’t pick a game you will automatically lose that game. Each correct pick is worth 1 point (other rounds will be scored the same). If you want to tell us why you picked your games, feel free. If you win (any division), you will automatically be granted eternal glory.

Just a little inside information: It looks as if the BOD/Dublin game will be played at Dublin. BOD had changed the venue to Chabot, but there is a scheduling conflict. Same with Cal State Hayward. The Dragon Dome is too small for for NCS, although it worked out fine last week. Don’t know if this will change the line for you guys, but, it looks like the # 2 seed will be playing at the # 6 seeds home court.

February 26th, 2008 at 11:25 am

February 26th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
S Martin,
That doesn’t change my pick. I will stick with O’Dowd. …Sports Junkie, Good call. I blew it on your total. That should be as sign for all of you to double check my work and let me know if something is wrong. I corrected your score, junkie. Is 68 what you came out to as well?
February 26th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
Hey Bower check mine too. The last column for Div. 5 girls I had all four picks right, not 3 like it says. I think I should have one more point. Thanks.

Who does the standings? I went 3-0-1 AGAINST the number last week. I should at minimum have 3 points. I demand a recount!!!
Actually, to be quite frank I feel I should win the whole thing since I playing against point spreads and with my knee caps on the line if I lose and don’t pay.
Waiting for the ACTUAL results to be posted…

Vegas Bill, since you set the line, don’t you find it a bit unethical to be betting on your own lines?
And btw, Newark a 5-point dog? Come on.

I think the hardest pick is the Girls div IV St Pat and Moreau. I am going with my heart on the Newark boys and Washington girls though
February 26th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
Yes, Moreau-St. Pat is going to be a classic game. I can’t wait to cover that one tomorrow!
February 26th, 2008 at 10:29 pm
Kyle,
Good call on the lines. But, I am not setting them Headache Smith and Tim Donaghey are setting them for me. Oops I let my bookie info out. Hopefully David Stern is not listening.
To the Newark being a 5 point dog. I got that line from fellow blogger Shane. He posted it I went to Headache and he said ok. I agree it is a bad line. I think Newark will win by 4-6, but who is going to say no to easy money?
***
To all the Vegas Bill fans I may make an appearance tomorrow at the Newark game as I will be in town for a few days.
Maybe I will see you there.

Im still rooting for all the HAAL schools but….All teams r stuck in tough match-ups!
And with Berry going down for Hayward its probably going to come down to a few possessions for Windsor; and they got the home crowd. Its just 2 tough to replace your leading scorer come playoff time? Hope he gets well soon.
Castro Valley finds a way 2 lose the tough road games. I think they are better than people give them credit 4, but they can’t win the big tough road games (i.e. at San Leandro, at Hayward).
I will comment on the BOD teams and Moreau girls tomarrow. Its 2 late. Adios.

I’m currently still sitting in first place, but going out on a limb & taking some chances with upset picks of both the #1 & #2 seeds in boys D1. The girls D1 pick of Deer Valley over Washington was also a tough one without Ellis as it could go either way. There are so many good games on tap for Wednesday that a lot of these are simply coin flips. Hang on for a good ride!

Michael, I’m going to the Moreau game tonight, too – gotta root for my kids’ alma mater – but aren’t you bummed about missing the Newark-CV game? I’d love to see that one, too – wish they didn’t conflict.
February 27th, 2008 at 11:01 am
I am extremely bummed out about missing that Newark-CV game. Heck, I wish I could watch all of the HAAL involved games tonight. You probably will see me on my cell phone a lot, getting updates from all the games. But yea, I especially would have liked to see the CV-Newark game. That will be a classic. But I am sure I am going to get a great game tonight, too. This is a huge night in the East Bay for hoops.
