De La Salle is unstoppable. Jeff Powers and Dom Martellaro are good and john macarthur is rising to the occasion lately. B Smitty will start playing well and when he does, it will be funny to see who can stay with us. The only way Mclymonds beats us is if Jeff and Dom dont shoot well and if John cant catch the ball like last time. Otherwise, i dont see any reason why we wont get to state.

I see a 3 way tie for 1st place in the Pickem going into the final round

de la salle is going to smash on newark memorial by 15+ easy. end of story.

It is a virtual 3 way tie going into Saturday. No one said eternal glory would be easy. I still have 1 game to play with, after losing both of my D1 boys upset picks last round. MV simply didn’t have it, and CV had it, but couldn’t keep it. Oh well, at least the Deer Valley girls pulled it out in OT for me to keep up the pace.

Jamal,
I have to agree with you there. I think there’s McClymonds, De La Salle and then the rest. Those two really set the standard for NorCal boys hoops.

Will Hoopfan play it safe and go with the favorites or will he go out on a limb and take a chance. This drama will unfold later and the final scenes will be showing tomorrow at the Arena………….

With 10 games, you know there will be some upsets. The key is to identify where they will occur. The race is just too close to call at this point. It could all come down to free throws at the end of yet another overtime game to decide who gets eternal glory. This is fun.

After seeing Skyline, Oakland, Fremont, and McClymonds play I would have to say that there are a variety of scenarios that could play out in tomorrows game when De La Salle takes on Newark…….
If both teams shoot well it should come down to the wire…….its that simple
Earlier in the year Newark lost to Skyline in the MLK Classic…however they played horrible……as we know McClymonds had a tough time with Skyline eventually winning by 2….
Cant wait to see what happens

I hope Head Royce and Branson will be a good game. When Head Royce is on and plays with a lot of heart, they can really pull it out. Isono has amazing ball skills and Sophomore Kim Leong can really hit her three’s. If Branson gets cocky, I think this might be an interesting game.

Waterhouse!!!!
I see your comment that it’s McClymonds and De La Salle…and than the rest…….after seeing tonights game….I think a lot of people will disagree with that statement! Newark could have pulled it off….I think its going to get serious in NorCals!
LOVE THE MUSTARD!!!

I must say, Newark impressed me tonight. I’m in Bakersfield covering the state wrestling tourney, so I didn’t see the game.
The theme for Newark is no-lead-is-too-safe Cougars!
I’ll be back for NorCals.
