Baseball anyone?

Let’s get some baseball talk going. Who’s good this year. I know Irvington has a couple of quality wins over Amador Valley, Liberty and a 2-0 win over Alameda. The Vikings are 5-1 with the lone loss to Foothill. Let’s hear some baseball chatter!

As for the EBAL, Livermore is strong once again, returning a lot of players from last year’s EBAL title team. Monte Vista is strong as well and has a 3-0 win over Serra on the books. San Ramon is LOADED with pitching and if the Wolves swing the bats, the will be really tough to beat.

Foothill’s got some hitters with Coach Sco back in the saddle and Amador should be solid, but the Dons have not been playing well early.

Talked to Coach Coburn over at Cal recently, and he feels like San Ramon is going to be a real hard to team beat. Said your going to need to get an excellent outing from your starter each time. Cal has some young talent, but is no where near the teams of the last 3 years.

Bishop O’Dowd and Arroyo should be the top two teams in the HAAL. More information about the league coming later…

encinal is swinging the bats again

I love baseball season so much I arranged my work schedule to get off at 2pm on Fridays. Been getting my mouth in shape for the bag of sunflower seeds a game and I am not in midseason form yet. Also the trip to Logan for the Linguisa sandwiches even if I am heading to a game elsewhere.

  6. High School Sports Junkie Says:

oh I forgot to ask about the MVAL outlook

  7. Michael Bower Says:

ohhhhh, the linguisa sandwiches are awesome! I need to load up on the sunflower seeds as well.

  8. Coach Says:

    BOD…
Encinal cruised right them (8-2). BOD will suffer on the mound. They do have one pretty talented outfielder who is extremely fast. The Fighting Jets are at it again.
