Boobie to Bakersfield, Maka to Fullerton

Some basketball news out of the Oakland Athletic League, Fremont’s James (Boobie) Albright and Skyline’s Nneamaka Anyanwu will be signing their national letters-of-intent Wednesday, the first day of the late signing period.

Albright will be attending Cal State Bakersfield and Anyanwu is going to Cal State Fullerton. Albright was close to signing during the early period in November and was considering offers from Nevada and Portland State, but elected to wait it out and will join a program that is pretty new to Division I basketball. Anyanwu also had interest from Long Beach State, San Diego and St. Mary’s for awhile, in addition to some midwest schools, before choosing Fullerton.
