There’s a lot of pride involved with being a state champion, no matter what the division. Two of the most impressive players we saw at last year’s bowl series were in the Division III game (Central Catholic-Modesto’s Louis Bland and St. Bonaventure-Ventura’s Darrell Scott). The new format should make for some good football.
