(13) Pinole Valley vs. (4) Alameda at Lincoln Park, Wednesday 5 p.m.

(12) De La Salle at (5) Arroyo, Wednesday 5 p.m.

(15) College Park at (2) Foothill, Wednesday 5 p.m.

(10) Monte Vista at (7) Bishop O’Dowd, Wednesday 5 p.m.

(14) Liberty at (3) Newark Memorial, Wednesday 5 p.m.

(11) Clayton Valley at (6) Freedom, Wednesday 5 p.m.

We have some real interesting matchups in the first round. Arroyo and De La Salle jumps out to me as the best game. I have to think this one will go to the wire. I think the top four seeds will advance. Seeds 5-8 are going to have some tough games, especially Bishop O’Dowd drawing Monte Vista. That is a tough draw. The Mustangs probably would be a No. 4 seed if they didn’t lose their final game to San Ramon Valley. Freedom has Clayton Valley, who have already beaten the Falcons twice. And Irvington and Berkeley have split two games this season. Those will be some fun games to watch.
