I don’t have any details yet, but word is Piedmont has beaten St. Mary’s 6-5. I can’t say I’m surprised, obviously since I picked Piedmont to win. It’s just so hard to beat a fellow good team three times in one season.

Anyone with further details, feel free to chime in.

yep, 6-5 Piedmont. Flemer went the distance for St. mary’s. Remer went 6 1/3, then pulled after about 120+ pitch count. Panthers jumped on top 2-0 on Marcus Semien HR, but a six run 5th (or 4th) did St. mary’s in. Scored late to make it close. Had tying run on base, winning run at bat, with heart of order, but no miracle finish this time. Good luck to Piedmont, they are well set up to win it all.

Thanks Ballfan, sounds like a good one. I’ve gotta to agree with you that they appear to be in good shape to take it all. Very few teams have as good a 1-2 punch as Chu and Remer.
