Bellarmine upset by Serra

For the De La Salle fans out there, Bellarmine-San Jose lost to Serra-San Mateo tonight, 31-23. The Bells were ranked No. 1 in Northern California by CalHiSports.com going into the game. Even if DLS doesn’t ascend back into the top spot in the Northern California rankings this week, this could be a huge development when it comes time to pick a team to go to the CIF State Open Division Bowl Game. The committee weighs common opponents pretty heavily and the Spartans beat Serra to open the season.
For the record, Serra has one of the best kickers around. His name is Greg Guttas. The kid has monster leg. Not sure why I mentioned that, it just sounded like something to share.

Hey what did Guttas do tonight (since you mentioned him), saw article about him in SF Chronicle earlier this week.

He hit a 27-yard field goal and a number of PATs. A slow day at the office by his standards I guess.
