Injunction filed in Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV playoffs

Ladies and gentlemen, this is one I’ve never seen before. An Alameda County judge issued a restraining order on Friday to stop the Colfax-Oakdale football game in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV playoffs because Placer was forced to forfeit two games (and its playoff spot was awarded to Colfax) because of an ineligible player who transferred from Jesse Bethel-Vallejo to the Auburn school. Today, SJS commish Pete Saco goes to court to settle all of this. Read all about it on the Sacramento Bee’s web site: Injunction filed. Also, the Bee’s Ailene Voisin has a good column on the situation.

Has anyone heard what the resolution of this case was? Have the teams been allowed to play their game yet?
