  • Old Meddling Former Coach

It’s about the size of the fight in the dog,Not the size of the dog in the fight. I’ve had centers that were as small as 170 lbs Kick guys asses twice there size. Just play hard and never quiet. believe it or not a lot of guys like “Rudy” Do make it.

  • Brandon Wilson

there’s a reason why your a former coach! Because you were meddling around with the players jock straps

  • Famfirst1

  • Famfirst1

thank you former coach. but i have a question for you and maybe dez can out some input in this too. WHO WOULD WIN IF ENCINAL PLAYED HAYWARD IN THE FIRST ROUND IF THE DIV.III PLAYOFFS?

  • dez #72

Me too this a really great bowl game.

  • Famfirst1

dez bryant did his thang he is gonnna be good in the nfl

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

Oh and Brandon,I stopped Coaching because i had a kid to provide for. Now that he is Going to College,I’ll be returning To Coaching.

  • HAALmer

    Encinal would win.

  • dez #72

All I have to say is Encinal Hayward would go to the wire!!!!

  • HAALmer

    Encinal by 28.

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

Well I’m a Encinal parent but,I have not seen hayward play this year. But i know we would’ve killed O’Dowd.

  • dez #72

Yea Dez Bryant is a beast

  • Famfirst1

i agree. it would be a good matchup. a true dog fight

  • HAALmer

Old Meddling, since you think Encinal beat would kill O’Dowd and O’Dowd beat Hayward, don’t you think Encinal would kill Hayward too?

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

I see you guys beat my old high school Mission SF. I can’t believe you guys lost to weak O’Dowd.

  • Famfirst1

we had BOD beat but mental mistakes hurt us. that was the problem in the beggining of our season but wen our head coach came back from a kidney tumor we ironed it out and won 5 of our last 6 and a 4 game winning streak gaining over 300 yards of total offense in every game. the defense only giving up 53 points in 4 games is pretty good and only 2 teams gaining barely over 100 yards of offense.it would be a good game

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

I think hayward might have a problem With our team speed. Dez,You play right or left side? I never say who can beat who. I like to do the talking with the pads.

  • dez #72

I am a LE but we switched our Scheme to 3-4 and I played Noseguard all year because I couldnt be stopped by anybodys center. Bishop O’Dowd tripled teamed me all day with Center and both guards or center and left guard left tackle they bottled me up.

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

I would’ve like to See you go against our Guards. #65 is pretty gritty and #77 is a mauler.

  • Famfirst1

5 tunrovers in the BOD game lost it for us they only had 14 points. ENCINAL BY 28???? thats ridiculous. We were better than BOD. we beat ourselves.but BOD is mario brown, slow him down and they are in trouble.we had 4 runnning backs who could carry the load DOminique Jackson, bryan jones, carl yates, and justin gaines.and plus the defense was basically on point the whole year besides the SL game. The Jets passing game against our secondary would be a good matchup.ask dez tennysons spread was shutdown after we came up with a new 2 safety defense and me and dominique back there is trouble waiting to happen

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

have a look at my boys Guys.http://www.encinaljetsfb.com/

  • Famfirst1

we match up pretty well with the jets speed in my opinion.

  • dez #72

the only lines that stopped me all year were Haywards and Bishop O’dowds the coaches at those schools really did a goos job at keeping the run game away from me in those games. and Encinal had a great line I love to fight on the line especially when I let my guard down against mt eden and i let their guard and center pancake me the first play of the game. My motor really got going.

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

Well i will say this,Everyone expected us to get knocked off all year and in the playoff. My guys stepped it up.

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

Well it’s all about good leverage,Hand fighting and keeping your feet moving. Hit,Extend and attack.

  • dez #72

That is a really nice website.

  • Famfirst1

it is a coo website. i really did want us to play them this season

  • Old Meddling Former Coach

Well hey it probably would’ve been a good game. O’dowd didn’t want to schedule us this season and I hear alameda is trying to get out of The Island Bowl next season. A friend of mine’s son played for San Lorenzo. No. 66. How did he do against you guys.

  • Famfirst1

yea wen we played ya’ll camper we ran to the outside a lot and controlled the clock and our defense stopped your offense most of the game

  • Famfirst1

i wish we would schedule you guys

  • descamp72

Yea all day gaines and jackson outsideand you guy made 2 or 3 field goals. I was juicedat the beginning of that game. The First Series I made 2 tackles and topped it off with a sack then we blocked the punt and scored we was too juiced and who hit our reciever over the middle
