The lastest Rise/ESPN national girls soccer rankings show EBAL power Foothill ranked No. 1 in the nation.

Not a huge surprise considering the Falcons have 10 players already committed to Division-I program and play it what is arguably the top girls soccer league in the nation.

Here is the press release:

ESPN will release the ESPN RISE FAB 50 national girls’ soccer winter rankings each week of the regular season and playoffs, continuing through the final matches of the Texas state playoffs.

Another week, and another No. 1 enters the picture in the ESPN RISE FAB 50.

Foothill (Pleasanton, Calif.) jumps from No. 4 to the top spot this week on the heels of losses by the top three schools.

The Red Bull/Nolan Showcase helped kick off the Texas high school season, featuring 27 schools, and the impact was great on the FAB 50. Former Nos. 2 and 3 (Marcus and Plano West) were a combined 2-4-2 at the event and both dropped from the rankings.

The big mover this week was Keller, which emerged from the Nolan Showcase with an undefeated record and the most points accumulated through the three-day, four-match event.

Results through Jan. 11.
