Pinole Valley High School girls basketball star DeNesha Stallworth has been selected to compete in the McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Game, it was announced Wednesday.
Stallworth, a 6-foot-3 forward, will represent the 12-member West squad in the girls game, which will be played in Miami on Feb. 1. She is one of six Californians on the squad and one of two Bay Area players. The other player is Tierra Rogers of Sacred Heart Cathedral-San Francisco.
“It’s a big privilege,” Stallworth said. “I’m just happy to be invited to it. I feel that I’ve worked very hard, and I’m happy that all my work paid off.”
