There just sren’t that good, they lost in the 1st round of the playoffs just last week. They were not that good this year.

No surprises in D-1 and there sure won’t be in the first round I see two 30pt blowouts a 20 pt blowout and a 15 pt blowout Looks like a Dls vs SL or MV final

DeLaSalle is the chronicle’s top ranked team in the Bay. They beat Mack. I think St. Mary’s plays Mack down to the wire and the Salesian ex-Chieftons beat Mack.
February 22nd, 2009 at 2:23 pm
Big Joe you tripping, wait till the NorCal finals and you will see the best team in the state!!
February 22nd, 2009 at 2:28 pm
I got a feeling that Div 1 game is going to feature DLS and Mack- it’s anyone’s ballgame. The other 2 teams are going to fight it out in Div 4, one of them is going to state.

Don’t forget Div.4 Cardinal Newman, they’re 27-1. Anyone who is 27-1 is going to carry lots of mo and confiedence into the play-offs. I knew they were a football power, didn’t realize they had that kind of a b-ball record this year.
February 22nd, 2009 at 2:37 pm
We also got Sacred Heart out of the City at 21-4 and St. Francis 24-2, they just upset SH for the WCAL crown, they will both be in the NorCal line-up.

Does anyone know how the BCL West teams are this year?
February 22nd, 2009 at 5:05 pm
University is a good shooting team but has no inside game. Lick has a very good point guard named Manansala and they also have a few good post players. Marin Academy has some very good players but a short bench.

It’s fixed now Ernie. The 15-12 record was what was on the original NCS bracket that was printed out and handed to me at the meeting. It’s been updated on the NCS site now so I made the fix too.

Jimmy,
After updating the Rincon Valley W/L record are they still the eigth seed?
February 23rd, 2009 at 9:26 am
In Div 4 Girls, if the coach was a little bit smarter about the way he used all of his players they could go all the way. It is amazing that they have done so well in the past considering his lack of skill.
February 23rd, 2009 at 9:27 am
Ernie,
Yeah, they are still the eighth seed. I’m assuming that typo of their record came when the brackets were being typed up, not when the selection committee was seeding teams.

Sorry, I was referring to Marin Catholic in message above

Newman looks impressive at 27-1 but they have not had much competition in their schedule. They will have to battle hard to get through St. Mary’s and Salesian.

When are you guys going to post the Pick ‘Em challenge? The sooner you post it, the more entries you may get, which makes it that much more fun. If it is posted somewhere else, I can’t find it.
February 23rd, 2009 at 6:53 pm
I’ll get to it tonight. It’s been a busy day.
February 23rd, 2009 at 8:03 pm
Great, I see it is up now. Thanks Kyle. That was just a reminder. I love that you guys posted the certificate of authenticity of Eternal Glory from last year. If that doesn’t get people fired up, I don’t know what will.(:

NCS starts tonight baby. Den can’t wait. We are returning some guys that were out with suspensions so we will be in full strength and louder than ever. Deer Valley probably doesn’t even know about the den they are gonna break out in tears tonight.
CV finna fwi at NCS no one sees us coming.
February 24th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
Good luck den but tonite you won’t need it, cv will win by 30+ Deer vallley is no better than san lorenzo and by the way no one sees you coming because you only have three good wins all year

Why no Berean Christian boys in D-IV? They beat D-1 Clayton Valley and lost to them by 2. Played tough against D-1 and D-2 teams in league that made playoffs. Some D-IV teams made it with losing records. Any ideas.
