I’m keeping track of MVAL. I’ll talk to the other guys about doing the same for other leagues. Which league are you interested in?

How BAD is Logan baseball anyway? I saw your story where their coach said that’s the worst pitching he’s ever had. that cant be good for the morale of an 0-7 team. but you were there, tell us this, did he say it like he was quitting on the team and the season, or do you think he was trying to motivate the players by using the media? what is your predicted record for Logan in the MVAL? and who do you think will compete for the title?

HuskyHank — this is the worst Logan team I’ve seen (pitching-wise mostly). Defense wasn’t crisp like you’re used to seeing. Hitting-wise, I think it’ll be alright. Andrew Rodriguez (San Jose State) is legit. And they got a few guys that can swing the bat. But it won’t make up for the pitching.
I don’t think Goulding is playing games to motivate his team. I think he’s just telling how it is. Thing is, with the game of baseball, stats don’t lie. You can’t hide what you’re bad at.
Newark and Irvington will battle for the league crown. Newark has a solid No. 1 in Ryan Deeter (tendonitis and should be fine next week) and it looks like this freshman Flexen is going to be effective. So, if they can hold down that staff and considering they’re defending league champs, they are going to be right there.
Irvington has the best No. 1 in the league in Ryan Tella (LHP). Rogers is a solid pitcher also. They got a core that has been together for three years now.
By the way, I think Logan will go 6-6.
