Bishop O’Dowd junior linebacker Chris Martin, who has verbally committed to Notre Dame already, will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 9, 2010 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The game will be televised on NBC. This year’s game drew a crowd of 32,000 to the Alamodome and got a 1.7 U.S. household rating on NBC. It was the highest rated sporting event of the weekend other than the NFL playoffs.

The 6-foot-4, 224-pound Martin, who is rated the 12th-best prospect in the class of 2010 by Rivals.com,  will be joined by some of the other top recruits around the nation. NFL players that have played in the game include Reggie Bush, Vince Young and Adrian Peterson.
