Deer Valley High’s Hammed Suleman’s outstanding triple jump mark Saturday at the Oakland Invitational Relays did more than break the 21-year-old meet record for the boys event. It is also the longest jump in the nation this year for all conditions, according to DyeStat.com. There was no wind information for the jump.
Other East Bay athletes listed in the DyeStat Us #1 list include St. Elizabeth’s Ashton Purvis in the girls 100 meters (11.56 wind-aided), James Logan’s Ciarra Brewer in the girls long jump and triple jump (both wind-legal marks of 19-5 and 40-11 1/2 respectively) and Moreau Catholic’s Alitta Boyd in the girls triple jump (41-7 1/2, no wind information)
