Three local wrestlers notch national titles

Liberty’s David Klingsheim, De La Salle’s Joey Moita and College Park’s Orry Elor all won national titles at the USA Wrestling Greco-Roman National Tournament in Fargo, N.D. today.
Klingsheim, who will attend Nebraska in the fall, beat Pennsylvania’s Patrick Myers 7-0, 3-2 to win the Junior 125-pound title.
Moita, who will be a sophomore at DLS in the fall, beat Washington’s Ruben Navajas 1-0, 1-0 to win the Junior 98-pound title.
Elor, who will be a senior at College Park in the fall, beat Iowa’s Caleb White 1-0, 4-0 to win the Cadet 285-pound title.
Other high local finishers were De La Salle’s Luke Sheridan (3rd at Cadet 171 pounds) and Justin Walker (3rd at Cadet 189).
