Unfortunatley O’Dowd will probably easily make the play-offs at D-III since they have to field 16 teams. Perenon parties in the HAAL. He’ll blow out teams like Tennyson, Arroyo, Mt. Eden, Castro Valley, & San Lorenzo easy putting up 60 points if he can. They’ll be 6-3-1 or 5-4-1 getting blown out by SL beating but maybe losing to Hayward High

how can u tell me coach smith is doin a good job? o’dowd is a team that got blown out by s.i. & tied alameda who hasnt scored a touchdown until the 4th quater n back2 back weeks. eventually even if he can’t win why arent he’s teams atleast competitive? wats the excuse 2nite?

According to cal preps BOD has one of the weakest schedules(power rankings) in the HAAL and are 0-2-1. BOD might not even make the playoffs this year. We’ll see how they do at their first night game at home tonight. If they don’t dominate Tennyson you can just about stick a fork in em.

Yeah, school size was the big factor. Every four years the NCS reviews all of its leagues and typically does at least some realigning based on school size and competitive equity. Encinal is in a weird spot where as a Div. 3 school they are bigger than most in the BSAL and smaller than most in the ACCAL. Competitively speaking, they would fit best in the ACCAL.

Was school size the driving factor in that decision?? If so I can think of at least one team that should have been “reassigned” based on that criteria.
@Old Former Meddling Coach, I’m gonna go with Encinal WAS “reassigned” to the BSAL and say that it was Not so “plain and simple” as I previously stated, BUT I will go as far to say that it WASN’T “more of a coincidence” that they went unbeaten. And oh yeah, I woulda took Berkeley to win @Encinal in that hypothetical matchup – But all that don’t matter now does it?…Don’t Sleep!

Shabawler, Our last year in the ACCAL, 2007-08 The Jets Finished 9-3 making it to the semi’s in Div 3 Playoffs. I think Jimmy explained. We were moved,No one wanted to leave The ACCAL. Jet Pride!

Tennyson: Its pretty hard to talk about a guy’s coaching ability until you step into his shoes. If you think Tennyson has under-achieved, then by all means go apply for a coaching position for football in the 2010-11.

Being the head coach of a high school football program in the area that Tennyson is in involves quite a bit more than X’s and O’s than you might think.
