Locals shine at Clovis Invite

California High’s Colleen Lillig continued her strong cross country season with a third-place finish in the Championship Girls race at the Clovis Invite today at Woodward Park in Fresno. Lillig clocked a time of 18 minutes, 4 seconds for the 3.1 mile course. She was only behind Julie Nacouzi of Montgomery (17:42) and Macy Bricks of Buchanan (17:56).

Livermore sophomore Natalie Dimits won the Division II girls race with a time of 19:14. Carina Novell of Granada, another sophomore, added a fourth-place finish in the race (19:32). San Ramon Valley finished second as a team with 108 points.

De La Salle won the Division II boys race with a score of 93. Its top runner was Paul Johnson (sixth, 16:14).

Miramonte added a second-place finish in the Division IV Boys race with a score of 89. The Matadors were paced by a third-place finish from Christian Britto (16:24) and a fifth-place finish by Peter Buscheck (16:33).

In the Division III girls race, Acalanes nabbed a pair of top-four individual finishes. Emily Shearer was third (19:09) and teammate Katie Berge was fourth (19:11).
