@OFMC, I didn’t realize you were so connected to the game. From the sidelines Coach really never shows any emotion and doesn’t embarrass his players in public.

Hey Spartan83 I feel you man..kids are coached what plays to execute based on coaching decisions; sometimes the decision to adjust to what defenses are showing are not made accordingly or soon enough to the approval of the fans. I knew you believed in the kids from the get or else we wouldn’t have have come out in force Friday night. From one parent to another, I wouldn’t want my kid getting hollered at so I don’t blame your passion. Your doing a great job showing love for your kid and supporting the team as a whole. Believe me, change is coming and PV Blue and Gold will show and prove.
GO PV SPARTANS!!!!!

Hey I don’t want to give anyone the idea that I hate Coach Alameda, as I respect the man. But sometimes I wonder if he see’s what we see. I really didn’t want to bring up the behind the scenes thing, but my feelings towards these young players sometimes gets the best of me. I don’t doubt that Coach does a great job, but we can all do alittle better. If the offense isn’t working, why do we continue to do the same thing. Let’s change it up alittle … perhaps some play action to help get the passing game going or some screen plays if the line is performing poorly. Trust me Shabawler, I believe in the kids! But the kids run the plays that Coach calls, and if we don’t make adjustments when things aren’t going our way, we will be in trouble in the playoffs. That said …. GO SPARTANS!!! Oh, and my son hopes my mouth isn’t getting him in trouble (ha,ha).

bigjoe get off their nuts. instead of pumping up background stories you could admit there’s other playmakers who meant more or just as much to their team. but since it is tradition, ebal tradition before de la salle came, the mvp will be given to best player on league champ. i actually agree ward deserves it, but so did dalton&turray for what they did this season. at a public school. that last sentence as well as the very first was sarcasm so dont buy to much into it.

still waiting for that berkeley/deer valley/amador valley rematch. lol

Give the EBAL MVP to Ward. He went both ways, along with special teams, he’s Maurcie Drew the 11, and he’s a game maker. They rode his back through the league, he’s humble and get’s the job done. Another success at De La Salle. His old man and brother both played Div 1 and beyond- he’s a natural- lot’s of great attitude.

There is a long-standing EBAL tradition that the league champ gets the MVP.

No doubt the front-four has been great, but I think Ward is nearly a shoe-in at this point.

I don’t think the EBAL has to give the MVP to a memeber of the 1st place team. Just because it has happened often doesn’t mean it is cast in stone. It is just that the first place team most likely has some really good players. But, I could see it going to someone else like maybe a Stancil or Turray. If they had finished9-1, they would have a better shot at it, just as Nottingham or Mannion may have had a shot at it had they finished 9-1. Watching the game last night, no one really stood out for DLS because the team as a whole has such great athletes. It will be an interesting pic this year, as tere really is no shoe-in candidate that has it sewn up.

My vote for EBAL MVP: Stancil/Turray co MVP’s. They have been stellar all year-impressive playmaking ability by both.

I’d have a tough time picking from the DLS squad. Ward and Wynn are good thoughts,but based on consistent outstanding performances, the enitre front four is most deserving. Why not a Wynn, Lawrence, Waldren, Marre sharing of MVP? They have been dominate this year.

On Coach Alameda, I met Coach when i was a Young Varsity Assistant Coach and he was Vice principal At Kennedy And a few times he gave me valuable Advice. He knows the game. I have never been a screamer as a coach,But some do it and it is their style. We all will never agree with another Coaches play calling and style or methods but as long as the kids are learning and growing and are not being hurt at all by the coaching but are thriving it should be ok. I didn’t like my son being yelled at and i think none of us really do(Unless we are doing the yelling)But i knew and saw that it would only make him stronger. Give Coach the benefit of the Doubt. He’s Been around. Jet Pride!

Thats the general logic I’ve found so far.. some switches because what is the determination Pitt over Logan or Logan over Pitt? And Will Foothill’s upset of Amador leap them over SRV, who beat them head to head??
