Did you know that the referees have to travel all over NCS to offciate games? That means that some Contra Costa or East Bay Refs will make the road trip to places like Eureka or Fortuna or Hoopa Valley…all the way through the playoffs. Long trips for them, too.

Zebra, I hope you guys get paid for the gas mileage. That how you earn your stripes.
It is good to have neutral refs, so that the East bay teams don’t get “hometowned” by the locals when having to travel up there, and of course we wouldn’t want them to be “homewtowned” coming down here either.

Bleacher Coach,
My apologies for the late response but I was at the Raider Game.
It amazes me how it always a character issue when your favorite team lose. I would suggest that the opponents practice a little harder, execute a little better and do not expect a trophy for participating. It’s about results and by my response, I may also have some character flaws. I would rather you suggest that they are not good than resort to it a charascter issue. Secondly, remember the Encinal Jets are defending NCS champions and will defend it with all their power. Its hard being at the top because all worthly and unworthy challengers will try to take them down on the field and off by any mean necessary.
Play the game and we’ll see any who dare line up on the other side of the ball.

That is one of the best things about the playoffs, getting outside the area refs. Eureka gets “hometowned” in their own hometown during the regular season.
