So tony, now that the season is over, do you think you can get me some of the best individual lineman from each team in the haal? Much appreciated
November 16th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
I see a couple of division 1 talents up there
November 17th, 2009 at 1:20 am
who do u think the best player in the HAAL is im mean the whole package and who’s the most over rated
November 17th, 2009 at 7:20 pm
I think that mostly all the running backs in the haal are good. Roberson, brown, and hughes are very good. Noa from slz is probably the hardest runner in the league. Idk who mt edens rb is. Heka is also a good back. I think he is the most underrated. All of arroyos backs split the load, buac, moore, and mcmurray are good backs. Bua, another back that is underrated, didnt get the carries to put up major yards. Also ner from tennyson, in my opinion is most overrated in the league
November 17th, 2009 at 8:08 pm
any predictions for POYs?
November 17th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
I think Offensive POY will be Chris Musni. Defensive POY I think is a toss up.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
What bout lineman poy?
November 17th, 2009 at 8:27 pm
The most overated going into the season was Ashawndus Woods. Now that the season is over the most overated person is Tj Ner. The most underated player going into the season was either Antoine Williams or Carl Yates. Now that the stats are up its about the same. Also Roberson from San Leandro could have had better stats if he played an entire game. The fact that his team was so good did not give him the oppurtunity to play a full 4 quarters.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
For Ner, all the Tennyson game’s I’ve covered he’s always been pretty sound at LB. Offensively, he’s always been a FB. With his size, he does get beat up by the end of the game.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Roberson and Hughes alot bigger numbers. Roberson, he sat out the Chavez-Stockton game and missed the first half of the O’Dowd game. Hughes is in the same boat with Troy Evans 3 years ago where he has to share the carries with Stockstill, Griffin and Yates.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
When do the all league stuff come out?
November 17th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
im curious y would u give it to musni
when r George Roberson and Victor Bannerman are clearly the most consistant player in the league
Roberson avg.10.6 and 14td rushing with limied carries
Bannerman on the other hand scored every game he caught a ball in with 10 tds on 22 catches chris is not a bad choice tho… plus those 2 profromed very well in the 2 loses. Did u see those games
November 17th, 2009 at 8:50 pm
From all the SL game’s I covered, what makes SL so dangerous is the passing game is what sets up the running game. What may hurt Bannerman is there’s been some games where he was held without a reception. Musni struggled like I havent seen him at all vs. CV. He still finished with 174 yards. The statement game vs. Hayward, it was the passing game that really got SL out of the gates.
Honestly, if Bannerman or Roberson were to get it I would have a hard time arguing that.
The all-league meeting is taking place either tomorrow or Thur night. I will post it on here before I print them in the paper.
November 17th, 2009 at 8:56 pm
What do you think about micah McMurray getting defensive poy
November 17th, 2009 at 8:57 pm
Tony ur a great analyst keep up the good work
im so happy u see what i c the offs is very complimentary i dont no how u stop it had they pass more on bellimine we would b having this convo.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
Football2010: Micah had a great game vs. Newark. Unfortunately the only Arroyo game I covered was their HAAL opener vs. Hayward. From the way past defensive poy’s has been picked, most of them are either LBs or on the D-Line. You hardly ever see DBs get this award.
Offensively, if you look at the HAAL, not too many poys have been QBs. One kid that would have to be considered one of the top defensive players coming back next year is Hardy Nickerson.
November 17th, 2009 at 9:33 pm
Micah is the jr defensive end. He wore 34. Amare is his older brother and is the defensive back wearing number 3
November 18th, 2009 at 10:59 am
How do you think Tennysons QB did his first year playing??? And who in the world is Haywards QB
November 18th, 2009 at 11:08 am
Nickerson should be up there with the best of them next year. He has great instincts and a nose for the ball. A little undersized but only a sophomore so that will likely change by next season. Tyrone Ward is another player to watch next year.
November 18th, 2009 at 11:16 am
if ty ward is a jr he is a beast hes D1 for sure i bow my head in humage he will destroy the league next year i promise u that. the kid is big and fast great hands good body control 4 a tight end
November 18th, 2009 at 11:37 am
I think Tennysons QB kyle johnson is one of the most underrated players in HAAL, mainly because he had to hand off to the most overrated player tj ner. Plus he was a first year player and had to play the toughest position in the game.He finished 3-7 but lost to 4 playoff teams and lost to slz who was a bubble team.
The kid was good.
November 18th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
Ner wasnt overrated nor was he rated if and rated i believe he was underrated and is extremely talented kid who didnt have the people surrounding him so he could run the ball at his full potential…he made a lot of plays and was the hardest and undoubtly the strongest runner in the HAAL
November 18th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
Johnson didnt have the arm strength to hit open recievers deep for the lancers…he had more accuracy then Carmona but was only capable of making dink and dunk passes and had happy feet whn pressure came abroad
November 18th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
TJ Ner overrated??…cant be serious!!. I havent seen ANYONE tackle TJ heads up. Everyone and their momma would go straight for the legs and if they did go heads up with him, he would run them over. TJ probably broke the most tackles in the league. Him and Heka from castro valley were the hardest running backs in the league. TJ cant be overrated if every team tries to stack the box against him
November 18th, 2009 at 4:19 pm
Then y werent his stats good wen it came to league play?
November 18th, 2009 at 4:21 pm
Who do you guys think are the top DBs in the league?
November 18th, 2009 at 4:26 pm
It’s silly to judge a player solely on stats. If you’re going to do that, one key stat to look at… yards per carry. 5.4 isn’t too shabby. With Ner, he only averaged 15 carries a game. Heka only averaged 3.8 per carry but he averaged over 25 attempts/game. Before you look at numbers, look at team-by-team. At CV, Heka was the main guy where at Tennyson Pabalate really showed his speed and that got him more carries.
I agree with Black as Ner and Heka were the two hardest backs to tackle. Neither one of them tried to get fancy, but just go up the gut against every defense.
November 18th, 2009 at 4:43 pm
roberson is the best back period
there should be no discussion
he’s the full package catches and runs great
Bannerman on the other hand can run by anyone in the league as uall saw 7tds of 50yrds or more a relative unknown 600yds 22 catches 10tds only 32 balls throw his way cast ur vote
November 18th, 2009 at 5:55 pm
Football411, Ner overated? You crazy he was a beast. Johnson underated? All he did was throw picks & hand out concussions to his receivers.
November 18th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
I think there were a lot of good backs in the HAAL. Noa from SLZ comes to mind, while McMurray from Arroyo will be the front runner next year. I like Roberson, would be interesting to see how he does on a team that can’t throw. Ner and Heka work really hard in the games I’ve seen. A lot of these guys play defense too, and they are on teams that have limited success throwing the ball, so they take a lot of hits. If there were some EBAL QBs in the HAAL, some of these guys would have much better numbers. Still sad about SLZ not making the playoffs.
November 18th, 2009 at 7:06 pm
Hey tony, can u put up arroyos qb brett judsons stats up?
November 18th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
Hughes is good..real good and I love watching him play, but in no way is he anything close to where Troy Evans was at Hayward—Troy’s senior year was only behind Jahvid Best’s year at Salesian, and that was with with Troy sharing carries–He still had 27 TDs on the season
November 18th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
Terrence King from odowd is a stud. He had huge games against hayward and sl and he’s only a jr.
November 18th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
Baller the kid is decent at best his route running skill need vast improvement ok hands decent speed hard work could b a stud
November 19th, 2009 at 12:18 am
Listen up you “ballers”. If McGovern at Monte Vista does not follow his QB to UCLA then Neuheisel is clueless. McGovern runs the best routes and has the best hands in California, period. Just ask his QB and watch the films. Size, speed, reach, blah, blah, blah, the kid can run a route and beat all dbs. TRUE.
November 19th, 2009 at 12:42 am
Don’t know about decent. He does need to be polished a little but he’s a playmaker and has showed throughout the year. The times i saw him this year i didnt see any cbs that could cover him. Also, he plays physical and really gets after defenders when he blocks and can block at the point against an olb.
November 19th, 2009 at 4:02 am
Paydirt take a bath
the dirt must be effecting ur vision
the best WR is common and u will see real speed
real routes running not the fact that they run 4 wide
and no one has 4 good DB’s so he gets open plus he QB can read a D and is accurate
November 19th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Tony any word on player of the year
November 19th, 2009 at 6:35 pm
Here are Judson’s stats from this season:
HAAL play – 40-of-88 (45.5%) 664 yards, 5 TDs, 6 INTs, 114.0 qb rating; 47 carries 251 yards 5 TDs.
Overall – 56-of-124 (45.2) 842 yards, 7 TDs, 9 INTs; 60 carries 264 yards, 7 TDs.
November 19th, 2009 at 6:40 pm
dcsaturn61, When I compare Hughes with Troy Evans. I am comparing their jr. seasons. Evans wasn’t their main back until his sr year. Hughes did have a tremendous year as a jr. He should have another great year next year. Evans sr year was a year I don’t think many players could have.
2010 season should be another fun season with just about every team having a good core of their team back.
November 19th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
Tony u think the reason Bannerman was open so much was the play fake or did u get a chance to watch ballimine or the valley chrt game
November 19th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
There were some occassions where Bannerman was so wide open on a good play fake from Musni. Other instances he got open from just flat out getting past the defenders. Unfortunately I did not get to see SLs games against Bellarmine and VC. Musni had 88 yards and 2 picks vs. Bellarmine. I think part of it had to do with that being Musni’s first game as a starting qb.
November 19th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
only 1 pass 2 Bannerman 4 a 35yd touch it was sicken 2 watch he ran rite by ther cover 3 time after time
November 19th, 2009 at 11:00 pm
Wen will all league, and POY be announced?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:28 am
Grid Iron why do you say Antoine Williams came into the league under-rated?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:32 am
and if possible, would you nominate him and/or Joe Latu for All-league? The reason im asking is because I watched when Mt.Eden played and their record doesnt reflect the work those kids put in. Especially Latu and Williams. Those two practically carried that team. So I just want your and anybody elses opinion.
November 20th, 2009 at 10:31 am
Antoine Williams is a beast, when he gets the ball in his hands. MT. Eden ran the option a lot and Joe Latu did a good job with it. He’s a big QB and hard to bring down. That offense didnt fit with the receivers MT. Eden had. Williams and Salinas, I think thats how you spell his name, should of had some plays created for them. If they were in a balance offense scheme, then they would be All League without a doubt
November 20th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
No disputing that those Mt. Eden guys worked hard and had great attitudes, I covered several of their games. Bottom line is this team just wasn’t good enough to compete most nights. I loved the effort on the Monarch sidelines, but probably not a lot of all-league selections coming from this squad.
November 20th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
ME had alot of real good athletes actually. In fact I thought they were probably one of the more athletic teams in the league. Its actually a little hard to picture them being 1-9.
November 20th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Does anybody know where Williams is going to college next year? If he even has gotten any looks from schools? because honestly if he keeps working hard and stays dedicated, he can be a force to be reckoned with on the field
November 20th, 2009 at 6:42 pm
Having athletes is one thing, most schools have athletes. Being able to put it all together on friday night is another. I think ME will get better, will take some time.
November 21st, 2009 at 11:35 am
When are haal all league and poy going to be in the papers
November 21st, 2009 at 9:18 pm
hey Tony, who is the 3 best centers, guards, and tackles in the HAAL?
November 22nd, 2009 at 6:47 pm
Wen will all league and poy be announced? And i also would like to know the 3 best guards tackles and centers in the haal
November 22nd, 2009 at 7:57 pm
Antione Williams is one hell of a receiver and an even better person. I believe he was getting looked at by San Diego State. I could be mistaken. Hopefully, the kid gets into a good 4 year school because that’s what high school is all about.
November 23rd, 2009 at 10:13 am
In my view, these are the best 3 at the O-Line positions.
T: A.Beglinger(BOD), X.Porttoja(Mt.E), M.Blair(SLZ)
G: S.Finau(SL), A.Tafuna(SLZ), S.Maile(SL)
C: E.Mason(CV), G.Callaghan(ARR), E.Jones(SL)
*NOT IN ORDER*

Haal eyes, did u even watch the haal games? Beglinger was just huge. He wasnt very physical at all. Fukofuka was better than blair, blair didnt even start unless fukofuka was out. Mt edens line was really bad. I like the right tackle frm arroyo better.Haywards guards were fairly good too. And g callaghan from arroyo in your top three? Really? He was definetely the weak point in their line. He also played very lazily. But the center from cv was probably the best center.
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:20 pm
G callaghan will not even be nominated for all league
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:39 pm
hey im not saying im a professional at scouting high school athletes, and i didnt say callghan was all-league, the center from CV is i juss put a list of 3. And i put him up because i went to the Arroyo-Mount Eden game and he did quite well.
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:40 pm
Ha, what were the sp teams final stats – kickoff, punt return for this year. Who were the top soph to look for next year.
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:50 pm
Callaghan was arroyos worst o lineman
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:52 pm
And if ur a scout, can u give me a detailed analysis of arroyo, hayward, tennyson and cvs line
November 23rd, 2009 at 4:12 pm
Haals eyes, since ur a proffesional scout, can u like critique or give me a report on how i played? If u can thanks
November 23rd, 2009 at 4:26 pm
Reading Comprehension classes have failed you guys miserably. He said that HE WAS NOT a professional scout.
November 23rd, 2009 at 4:52 pm
O i c. Wow i feel dumb for that.
November 23rd, 2009 at 5:28 pm
yea haha….and i really dont feel that callaghan was arroyos worst lineman…arroyo as as unit didnt have a very good line
November 23rd, 2009 at 5:41 pm
Um i kinda feel bad for sayin this, but he was our weak link
November 23rd, 2009 at 5:57 pm
wow dude really you are gonna bash your teammate on a prep blog?
November 23rd, 2009 at 6:01 pm
Well its the truth. Sorry but yeah. Im not sayin he was horrible, but he was the weakness of our line. Ask any of the other o lineman.
November 23rd, 2009 at 6:03 pm
I wasnt tryin to bash on him though. The people above me were arguing about him, and really only the o line he was on, or his teammates could say anything bout it
November 23rd, 2009 at 6:29 pm
Arroyo is just a bad team overall. the only thing good about them is #34 is a soild football player. he’s not much of a DE much better OLB. as far as their line goes they all are bad. and thats the truth. best lines in the HAAL in no order are O’dowd, SL , hayward. so if your not on one of them please dont come up in here talkin hella mess..thanks
November 23rd, 2009 at 7:15 pm
How are you going to say our whole o line was bad?im pretty sure we ranked fourth in offfense, but yet our we had only one back was in the ranks of top in rushing. Thats means all of our backs split yards, and we didnt have a superstar rb like brown, or roberson too make it easy for us. So we still opened up holes for our rbs, and dominated the line in most games. We were the most undersized line, and still did well.
November 23rd, 2009 at 7:17 pm
Footballl is a team sport, one person doesnt win games, u need 11 on the field to play
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:21 pm
so ur sayin callaghan was the weak link…was there anyone else that was better than him. I saw saw ur guys game against mount eden and i saw that #51 was the backup center…was he better than callaghan?
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Umm i really dont know. Really we didnt have anyone else for him. 51 missed too much of the season and is injury prone. 51 started at center but got hurt. We brought in 60 for odowd, and he was the best at center( he was a guard converted to center) bc coaches wanted a new center but we didnt have a backup, so we gave 60 a week to practice it and he started
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Haaleyes, would u happen too know wen haal all league comes out?
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:34 pm
I was at the BOD game and callaghan got more reps then #60 and the only time u guys scored was when he was at center and…ur guys QB sneak play is golden.
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:35 pm
ummm..im sorry im tryin to figure out that myself
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:36 pm
Wow #70 it says on maxpreps that u werent even on var last year…and i dont mean to be meen or anything but ur given callaghan crap?
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:42 pm
Wow Donald….
your going to say stuff about me? and with your track record?
thanks for backing me up haaleyes
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:44 pm
wow speak of the devil
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:47 pm
And ur point? Our line was all seniors last year, i was an undersized lineman, but it gave me a chip on my shoulder and made me work really hard. And since u were at the odowd game, u saw i was a captain so yeah.callaghan was just always lazy in practice and messed around. Our sneak was good, but it waa cuz of the count, it was wen the qb be tapped the center, and not on a cadence.
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:48 pm
And i played the last 5 games on var last year, my coach did the roster in the beggining of the season
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:51 pm
Wow donald…really?
Your going to say stuff about me? and with your track record…i think ive done a lot better from past years..and we wouldnt of one any more games with a different center.
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:53 pm
Yeah, and joe was a good safety. Sorry dude i think kevin was better.
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:55 pm
haha look whos here
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:57 pm
Kevin only started cause i missed wednesdays practice…not because he took my job cause the coaches thought he was better than me. And haaleyes is right..i still got more reps that him at center that game cause coach told me to go in
November 23rd, 2009 at 8:59 pm
Our line is going to be way better next year anyway
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:00 pm
Watev dude. Ask anyone on the line, everyone thinks u shpulda got replaced alot earlier. And the only reason u started, was cuz baxley went on vaca
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:04 pm
Kevin also went both ways and needed rest
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:07 pm
How do feel the right to talk so much crap when ur know star on the line either and the only reason u were captain was beacause dijon got hurt
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:10 pm
do u honestly feel that i was such a drap on the line this year that we woulda won more games this year with someone else at center…i dont think so.
And i did way better than ever before cause coach was on me every weak and my job was in jeopardy every week and i still played all of them
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:12 pm
Yeah cuz im just completely horrible. Ask any lineman, who the best lineman was. Betcha more people say me than u. Well will just wait and c who gets more recognition in awards and in the all league
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:15 pm
Really u didnt improve. Everyone wondered why saenz was sayin u were gonna get switched, but he never did, and everyone thought he should have. Out of our startin 5, who was the weak link? It wasnt me and kyle
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:18 pm
Im not say that ur horrible or anything like that im juss sayin that ur in know position to talk down to anybody..especially someone that started on var there junior year…and i dont think ur gettin all-league..maybe senond team or honorable mention
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:21 pm
Do u really think u deserved it? U kinda got it by default, and i never said i would be all league. I just ment i would get like an honorable mention and u wouldn
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:23 pm
how bout you’ll spend less time arguing on here and more time practicing. o wait you’ll didnt make the playoffs sooo how bout you’ll start gettin ready for next year bc you guys wont do good if u have ur linemen arguing with each other on a website…
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:23 pm
And i never said u were horrible, i just said u were are weak link on the line. Just the truth
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:24 pm
Sorry haalfapn, i wont be there nxt year
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:35 pm
well do ur team a favor be a leader and go work with the yonger kids and get off here an mabye they’ll make the playoffs….keyword MABYE
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:43 pm
yeah i will just hold practice at 9 at night, then we will watch film at midnight
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:50 pm
The other HAALfan is right. I’d never thought I’d see the day where two OFFENSIVE LINEMEN would bicker on a public forum like this. You’re linemen! You’re disgracing the rest of us who spent our time in the trenches, because this is not what football’s about. Most of the time I’m content with watching full grown morons bicker over which kids’ team is better, but this is deplorable. Show some respect to your team, your coaches, and yourselves and think twice before you post again. As for #70′s playing on JV last year; I coached in the league last year and you guys did have a decent line, which I believe was senior laden. No shame in playing a player down on JV if he’s going to help the team in the long run the following year or even later on in the current season.
November 23rd, 2009 at 10:09 pm
you guys are supposed to be brothers. you know that? there is a reason many coaches do not allow their players on these boards, because they don’t want stuff like this happening. it was disgraceful for the one guy to bash the other on here in the first place and I don’t care how you try to spin it, saying a guy was the weakest link is bashing. I never said anything like that about my teammates to anyone else except to him personally. If someone was slacking we dealt with it directly and found a way to motivate him. we held each other accountable for our actions and it’s one thing to disappoint yourself but try having your teammates come to you and ask why you aren’t putting out your best effort. that they are disappointed in you. so get off the boards, work your asses off, take yourself to a level you have never been before physically, mentally, and emotionally and come back next year and try and kick some ass.
November 23rd, 2009 at 10:11 pm
thank u for sayin that, thats the first time someone saw y i played down. And ur right, i acted like a jackass
November 23rd, 2009 at 10:55 pm
hey guys. i know i dont play for arroyo but honestly, you guys did have a good line. it just wasnt very experienced. and still you guys had a good stbale running game with the running backs you guys. you two arguin over this is really pointless cus you guys are teammates. if anything, one should be tryna better the next one cus football is a team sport. so thats really all i wanted to say.
and by the way, thanks to the people on this blog that acknowledged me and my QB Joe Latu throughout the league even with the team we had. i appreciate it cus my coach rarely even acknowledged us. but thanks again. much love
November 24th, 2009 at 11:12 am
Thats sad to hear Williams (about ur coach that is). Its too bad they didnt open up the offense for you guys. a 4 WR set with yourself, Salinas, Leano and maybe #13 (who was small but had some decent speed) or #4 who is without a doubt another good athlete. Woulda been deadly.
November 24th, 2009 at 11:22 am
haal wat happend? u guys r already out the playoffs? that league is terrible & san leandro aint wat it use to be! o’dowd please i don’t want to hear nothing bout those dragons til they beat a good team!
November 24th, 2009 at 11:26 am
Wow it was really an argument between 2 teammates..thats crazy..and williams you should of got more chances to get the ball..its bad to see good receivers play in a running all day system.
November 24th, 2009 at 11:27 am
This league talks the most about respect and how good they are but haven’t been winning for a few years now. The HAAL has been sent home until next year.
November 24th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
Yes, the HAAL is down. Everyone here knew the HAAL is down and has been down for the past 3 years. I no longer coach in the league, but from the couple of games I saw it seems like a lot of teams running offenses that don’t fully utilize their players’ potential. We have to remember the league is young in terms of new coaches and they’ll either learn to walk now or fall on their faces in the next couple of years. BOD was amazingly disappointing, enough said. SL just didn’t have that same smash mouth mentality I remember coaching and playing against. It used to be that I would tell our kids to clear up Saturday for some quality ice time after we played because it was the most physical game of the year. Hayward exceeded my expectations but met up with an always decent Las Lomas team, which doesn’t match up well with the undisciplined. I find it amazing that just about 5 years ago we were a very good league and only about 3 years ago Mt. Eden went 8-2, Castro Valley went 7-3, San Leandro went 7-3, and Hayward went 12-2 in winning the 3A East Bay title and losing to Cardinal Newman in the final game. This isn’t college, we are not the EBAL. We don’t reload, we rebuild. Wait a couple years for these coaches to figure stuff out and we’ll see what we have then.
November 24th, 2009 at 5:41 pm
wow DJ your really gonna throw garret under the bus like that, yea he was lazy, but he still got the job done. i can see garret getting maybe 2nd team all-league before you get an honorable mention
November 24th, 2009 at 6:46 pm
thanx Souz and Hood Boy. like i kept telling all of my coaches that we need to pass the ball b/c we have the receivers for it and a good QB who can really throw the ball. but they never listened to the players which is why we ended up with the record we did, even though most people around the league say that our record doesnt reflect how we played on the field.
November 24th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
I QB’d the school back in ’02 and I feel your pain. Best of luck to you, just keep your head up and keep workin hard.
As an alum of the school, although I coach at another school in the HAAL, I do have some advice for you that I wont air out here. You can email me at msouza3@horizon.csueastbay.edu if u wanna hear it.
November 26th, 2009 at 4:10 pm
which team in the HAAL had the best LB unit?
November 27th, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Yeah im glad to see my brother Antione on here. Hes right there was too much talent not being utilized correctly. And im not really concerned weather or not i’ll get any recognition, because the biggest stat in football is wins.and im not going to say anything about our coaches, because i am just a player.I wanna put out one of my best o lineman whos name is Sione Hausia, and he also led our team in sacks with 6. Oh yeah and what kind of left guard do you know that can return a 90 yard kickoff return for 6. all im saying is our record really doesnt show how good we are. There are a ton of more players on our team that were good athletes, but i cant just sit here and talk about how good we were. And yes this was my first year playing football.thanks
November 27th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
Was that dude #58? talk about the first O-Lineman to return a kickoff for a tug LOL
November 27th, 2009 at 4:07 pm
errr nvm, sorry I read your post more thorough after I posted.
But yea, that dude was OUT
November 27th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
joe latu shouldve been playing football since he was a freshman at Tennyson but he was too scared and thought tennyson sucked but tht is ironic cuz he went over to mt eden and they will suck for at least another couple of years and souz don’t u coach jv at tennyson
November 27th, 2009 at 4:37 pm
Ha.I knew someone would say something like that, but thats to be expected..i think whoever is cashflow doesnt know me.yeah i went to tennyson but i never made grades.i was cutting and all that.man if i was still there i wouldnt graduate.so is more than jus playing for yall.i go to mt. eden where i got my family backing me up.and i played with pride as a monarch.”Scared” how dare you say that
November 27th, 2009 at 5:06 pm
Hahaha I’m sorry this is horrible teammates fighting teammates… Jv coaches giving private advice… Players bashing coaches
1. Arroyo linemen that is one sorry display… nuff’ said
2. Souz speculating what could have happened when you don’t have enough information on the whole situation should not be what COACHES should be doing
3. Antione you guys had 37 passing attempts against Hayward and was sacked 14-17 times (your line couldn’t pass pro) and you guys typically had 7 in to block if guys went spread that would have meant 5-6 in to block which would mean bad things for your QB
4. Cashflow that was a low blow and was extremely immature
5. High school players and immature people should stay off this blog
November 27th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Yes cash flow I do…
TrueFan, its just an opinion. Im not throwing anybody under the bus. And what exactly is wrong with giving a kid advice who goes to a school from which I am an alumni?
I dont know, I meant no harm.
November 29th, 2009 at 12:11 pm
what happen to jones from sl?
November 29th, 2009 at 10:00 pm
when will all-league and POY be decided?
March 3rd, 2010 at 7:02 pm
DJ INGELES IS NOT A VERY GOOD PLAYER ON MY TEAM…HE IS A BABY……ARROYO RT 70 is DJ INGELES, RYAN WESLEY’s COUSIN
August 21st, 2010 at 9:23 pm
