But i want to see what else san leandro has besides hameed ali and nick armas. since i heard daniel almonte is not playing for sl i wonder where he is now

If you are going to have girls tournaments listed, you really should have the West Coast Jamboree 12-28 to 12-31 listed. It is the top girls tournament in Northern CA and the Platinum Division boasts some of the top teams in the nation. NorCal teams in that division include Berkeley, Carondelet, Deer Valley, St. Mary’s of Berkeley, Bishop O’Dowd and Washington. Defending D2 state champion Brea Olinda is also there, along with national power Potter’s House of Florida. They have 136 teams from all over the place at 8 different gyms in the East County.

When we get the brackets sent to us, we’ll get them included. One of our rules of Tournament Corner is that the brackets have to be sent to us, we’re not going to go track them down. The point of this is trying to encourage coaches and tournament organizers to send us their info, rather than have us hunt it down as we’ve often had to do in the past.

  • e_culb

Does this mean you wont be covering if you are not sent the brackets Jimmy?

  • Prep Fan

Here is the bracket for the Platinum Division playing at Deer Valley HS, which includes E_Culb’s daughter on the Berkeley Yellowjackets. They have 136 teams participating and have had to redo the brackets a couple of times now, but hopefully this will be the final version. Good luck to B-High E_Culb.

No, E_Culb, we’re still be covering it. And thanks Prep Fan (Btw, that’s E_Culb’s sister who plays for Berkeley, not his daughter.)

  • Prep Fan

OK sister then :) . She is a good player and a key to Berkeley’s team. I hope she continues to tear it up out there. I just know that E_Culb is a frequent poster in here and a big sports fan. It must fun to watch your little sister out there getting it done.

  • E_CULB

Thanks Jimmy. And yeah I do have a ball watching baby sis. represent the fam in a positive way!

  • The Whole Truth

Just got back from the so called Newark shootout…Washington got screwed by a either very ignorant or very corrupt (sorry to say )female referee. Then to make it worse Newark Memorial came out in jail break mode (20 fouls but only 8 called) and I couldn’t stand it so I went out and barfed on Coach Ashmores car. Kids are getting hurt here folks…when is it going to end? Absolute truth is a very rare and dangerous commodity in the context of professional journalism and I challenge those in the media (KB) to expose the corruption. Power to all the people!

  • The Truth

Went to the Don Nelson Classic…..Arroyo Dons are on the rise..They are so much better than years past.I think they are 5-2 now..They have a few new players this year with one of them being a standout swing man name Khiari Swift. He is 6’5 235lbs with an 17.5ppg,10.8rpg,3.5asp average. They also have a improved shooting guard with James Davis he is lights out with an 21ppg average. This team is very athletic and I think they will win the championship tonight vs. California and they will make some noise in the HAAL this season.
