not just quarterback high, how about the EBAL being a quarterback league.

Idk, dont speak too soon. SRV has had some great players at the position, but in college look how they’ve fared.. Keller transferred and didnt turn out to be the 2nd EBAL QB this decaded to be drafted as predicted by the whistle before the 07 draft. Louks transferred and might not play QB.. and with Kellen Moore the favored starter as long as he’s at BSU, Southwick might not get playing time until his senior year.

Still Comes did a lot better than expected and we beat Foothill this year lol. hurts to lose district rivals Cal and MV the same year, but somehow we got to host Pitt when we had no business being that high! I’d like to think that game was good comparing to last years match with them, and if Comes stayed healthy all season, we’d have more barn burners like Concord game.

GOod luck next season Wolves. Mitty in the house is huge.

  3. Prep Fan Says:

Congrats to Chris. That is great news.

I find it odd that EBAL MVP, East Bay POY, DLS record breaker and Mr. Football for California finalist Terron Ward has yet to be offered a D1 scholarship. Maybe Comes should put in a good word with the staff over at North Dakota about this kid Terron back home.

congradulations to Chris on a great accomplishment of getting a college scholarship. couldn’t have happened to a better guy.

  5. The Whistle Says:

    925,

Don’t forget that before Keller ran into the Carpenter Family hit squad at ASU, he did put up some pretty impressive numbers and earned an MVP award for a Bowl Game so it wasn’t a total wash. Had that piece of crap Carpenter and his father not run Keller out, it may have been a different story.

As for Moore, I would be surprised if he stayed the entire time. I say one more year, then he will head to the pros, although he didn’t look great for much of the Fiesta Bowl.

  6. Softball fan Says:

Moore will not leave early. He will never be a top round draft pick. He will play through his senior year and hope to get drafted in the 6th round, at best. I think he is a good and very smart QB, just don’t see him going high in the draft.

  7. 925 Says:

Yeah didnt mean to call you on that Whistle, but glad we agree what a bunch of crap it was. Going to keep hoping any traditional EBAL player gets drafted in a couple years! Best of luck to the DLS guys too but I mean in the Tri-Valley, who’s been drafted.. I know Brett Vistainier played for the Cowboys a PK from SRV but is now done. We’ve got a lot more to show for it in this league than the draft shows

dont know how comes pulled this one off… the sophomore kline was a way better qb this year and should have been the full time starter

  10. HSSportsFan Says:

Really Zach, have a little class…

  11. ebalplayer Says:

yes, srv is qb high, but thats because of kravitz. where ever kavitz coaches next will be the new qb high.

  12. HSfootballfan Says:

comes waited his turn behind southwick and deserved to start. kline was not ready but will have his shot

  13. 925 Says:

Joe Love is actually the new starter so Zach Kline will still be backup next year. Go Wolves

  14. Dbronc Says:

Joe Love stands no chance of being starter over Kline next year. Love is a better athlete yes, but Kline is light years ahead of him as a QB. Not even close.
Kline has been groomed to play QB since age 7. Kline will start Joe will be backup.

  15. Cmforlife Says:

Joe Love is the man so shush

  16. grtwhite Says:

ive seen all four quarterback play and ive also seen love and kline play. Kline has the most potential and if san ramon wants to be a powerhouse like they were in 07-08 they will build their offense around kline. that being said, of all the quarterbacks to come out of san ramon in the recent years it is my belief (and coach kravitz would agree) that joe southwick is the best all around quarterback to come out of san ramon. He may not have had the numbers that sam keller had but he also didnt have chris carter and andy cabianca to help him out.
