I received word from Bishop O’Dowd a short time ago that tomorrow’s boys basketball game with Castro Valley is sold out. Tickets will be unavailable at the entrance. Those not possessing a ticket already will not be able to enter the gym. The game will be broadcast online, beginning around 7 p.m.

no matter where the game was at, it would be sold out, packed house at CV’s gym last year, sold out for game at SL’s gym last year and the same when they moved the game to Chabot, so enough with the small gym already.

as predicted BOD Bigs dominate CV, Read did nothing at all looked bad Andersen did nothing it was a one man Bobbit show for cv that was it, and the Bod guards are terrible

bhouse, I would have to say you are pretty accurate.
is anderson #10, because I am pretty sure #32 stopped him from scoring too much. I could be wrong, though.

odowd should have won that game easily by at least 20 pts, even with the not so great guard play.

O’dowd is a good team that really has not played an A game, with something always happening. In the CV win, the dragons played with higher intensity and sometimes it did not look pretty such as ashley leading the break, losing the ball and ending up a heap in the center of the court. He also missed several easy layups in front of the basket and air balled a 3 pointer in the critical fouth quarter. The best thing about sophomores is they become juniors next season. Still, the energy and more buckets prevailed to counter poor foul shooting, and the dragons live another day still looking for a complete game win over a strong team.

Man I hate to say that O’Dowd dominated Castro Valley, other than the 1st quarter. CV came out quick with a Bobbitt 3 and a steal, concluding with Bobbitt being fouled on his dunk attempt. After that, they did nothing. Anderson was absolutely horrendous all night, and Read didn’t do anything(even though he’s my boy). I was watching on the kbc broadcast thing, which wasn’t great as it lagged the whole time, but at least the broadcasters kept you up to date. From some of the clear shots they had it seemed like CV’s screen defense was really bad. I saw Ashley get open multiple times off off screens on inbounds. He did miss around the rim a lot which could of easily made the game out of reach faster. He also had some turnover issues, but the dude is still going to become an animal in his Junior and Senior seasons. CV needs to find someone other than Bobbitt to provide offense, and maybe they can give O’Dowd a run at their place.

I actually agree with both Dabear and McD. I was at the game and like I said, that game should never have been as close as it was. There were way too many odowd turnovers that in my opinion weren’t caused by any great defense on CV’s part. I will say that I don’t think the game was called any different for Odowd being that it was a home game. Look how many times Bobbit went to the line. It didn’t help though, that when Odowd did get to the line, they didn’t make their free throws. I don’t know if anderson just had an off night or if it was the fact he was guarded by 32 who is a great defender, also a sophmore.

Cv did not look good, Bobbit is the only guy who did anything, i can’t understand why bod did double him and make him give it up the whole game because the rest of cv did nothing, and it again the coaching staff of cv could not win the big one they looked like a AAU team one on five the whole game in the half court offense
