Las Lomas High track star Sean Delfani signed an letter-of-intent with Arizona today. He also considered UCLA, Cal and Washington before choosing the Wildcats.
“What sold me was the overall people, the community, the coaches,” Delfani said. “They were really down to earth. I felt really comfortable vibes there … warm, comfortable vibes.”
Delfani placed fifth in the 2009 California Interscholastic Federation state boys 400-meter final with a personal-record time of 47.80. The day before in the trials, he also set a personal record (48.08).

I have had the pleasure of watchin Sean grow into not only a fine athlete but, also a fine young man. Arizona is getting a dedicated worker and an instant contributor to the team. Sean, congrats! I look forward to seeing your new PR as a Senior.
