Bottom line Guru, Alameda just needs to prepare to play a complete season 1 game at a time and when week 4 hits we need to be prepared to battle Encinal, simple as that.

Guru-black, long time bruh… I check the blog scene every now and then, as for the Hornet staff I can only speak for myself. I think being a former player and now a father and a coach my level of respect might be different than my peers. If I’m on these blogs acting a fool, I’m not setting a positive example for my son or his teammates. As for Encinal, my high school never played them, and I know Coach T from coaching and work, like I said if anyone has been able to hear him at a clinic speak on the O-Line then they would know that Coach T knows what he’s doing and is able to attract some good talent to implement his schemes.

mandown: no kids have transfered out of b-high, they are getting ready for the 2010 season. carters under staff is running the off season program until a new head coach is named. If the problems i understand that perenon had at bod, he has a big adjustment to make at b-high.the new head coach is going to be a surprise to everyone!

Gumbs had problems with paper work and making sure kids were eligible at O-High. Forfeited the season opener both years he coached there. No program as big as Berkeley is going to want to deal with a coach with that kind of history. Doesn’t matter what he did on the field.

the hornets are back on the blogs! tell me island02 y do your coaches have a lack of respect for wat your crosstown rivals r accomplishing. that won’t happen in a million years over there! their making deep runs n da playoffs getting kids on to the next level y the hating from your coaching staff? could it be envy? encinal’s staff been to back to back finals where you guys been? i know rocklin been film’n all those games coach tenorio watch out! i got alameda as a 2 touchdown favorite against encinal who i believe graduated too much.

Gumbs made a phenomenal turn around at O-High. O-High did not exist in football until he got there. Literally made something out of nothing. Low numbers, poor support, history of losing, etc. They need to bottle up and sell whatever it was he did.

Transfer? Why would they? They’d have to sit out a year if they played varsity according to the NCS rules. Unless a hardship is determined and a new football coach in not a hardship.

KIDS: DON’T TRANSFER UNLESS YOU CAN PROVE A HARDSHIP. YOU WILL RUIN YOUR CAREER.

And what NCS titles? 2004 was a long time ago and 1998 was a long time before that. What have you done for me lately? Can’t even win the down HAAL. Losing records against their most competitive teams in San Leandro and Alameda too. Not an impressive resume since he won NCS 7 years ago.

I hear that some “GOOD” players from Berkeley High have already transfered out after Carter left. I’m not sure where they went but that is the word on the street. Any truth to that?

Gumbs? Are you serious? I think that Gumbs is a good guy in all but he hasn’t won anything. B-High needs someone who WINS. I’m tired of seeing that big team lose to all the EBAL teams every year when they get some of the best players in the bay. I personally think that Peranon would be perfect. He has proved he can do it and has NCS titles to back it up. Gumbs couldn’t even bring in a OAL city title let alone make it to the dance.
