The NorCal Bracket Challenge has been posted and you can start filling out your brackets. I’ll only be posting the leaderboard with those who complete each bracket by 6 P.M. TUESDAY so get your brackets in. You’ll be filling out your brackets for every NorCal game, up until the NorCal championship games on March 20. After those games, you’ll be asked to select a winner in each of the state championship games, with each of those games counting for 10 points (I know if we followed the pattern of doubling for each round, those would be worth 16, but since you are having to choose those games up front, I don’t want to make them worth quite that much). Have at it!

A tip I provided last time that will once again be useful is that when you click on this link, it will bring up a page that shows you each of the brackets to fill out. It will make your life easier if you open the brackets in a new window (a simple right click can help you do that) and then just go back to that original page to get to the next bracket that you want to fill out. Once you get to the bracket, click the link that says Predict It and you’ll be able to fill out the bracket.

I’m all in!!!! It’s tough for me picking the lower divisions I’ve never heard of some of those teams!

I got my picks in for all 10 brackets, but there was sure a lot of guesswork. All the teams left are good, but the first round just has so many unknowns. And with the injuries to Radanovich and Culberson, it is hard to say how their teams will do. Berkeley didn’t miss a beat in NCS, but NorCal is a new test. The girls Sac-BOD game should be a good one, with the winner fed to the Lions, er Rams. I probably went with too many East Bay teams in the early rounds, just because I’m more familiar with them, but I imagine I’m not alone there. Should be fun – Good luck to all.

Division 1 & 2 have some good match ups

22 people have already filled out their boys D1 brackets. Some are still doing their homework on the other brackets, but that is a pretty good turnout for the first day. The more the merrier. Should be some stellar competition.

I got Castlemont going far. With the addition to Williams from mack..their guard play got alot better. Green has to take care of the inside play

i still think it’s crazy that a kid can play a varsity sport for two different high schools in one year, just sayin’. really, they should just let whoever wants to transfer, move schools etc. do it. On the other hand if this kid left Mack and had to sit out, he may spend his time doing something other than “practicing”, so I guess that’s good, but Wow…and they wonder why sootless is so upset. It probably was his kid that left a private but never moved from Washington school district and was forced to sit out a whole year.
