Comments on: Foothill coach Mannion leaving for Oregon

The EBAL almost always has been the top league in norcal the past several years, but chatter has it that other than DLS, the rest of this year’s EBAL might be a bit down compared to last few years.

It is very early but what does the 2010 season look like for strengths and weaknesses for these teams?

De La Salle

Amador

SRV

Foothill

Cal High

Livermore

Granada

i agree srv should be up with that young qb, what else do they have returning?…what does cal return other than alvarez that has them up?

What does AV return, losing their QB will hurt? Does MV have another QB in waitings?

mixes up the EBAL a lil bit more

Foothill- loses mannion returns rowland
Amador- loses the most, future bright or not?
Cal- loses qb, reggie ‘all star alright’ davis
SRV- looks to be good with mitty on that schedule
MV- also huge loss nottingham, actually loses the most seniors and impact players, but returns mcgovern
granada still has the atkinson brothers but thats up in the air
livermore got a new coach and will make some noise?
de la salle loses to tony sanchez’ bishop gorman?

i think MV/foothill a little down, amador too. SRV, Cal up top behind DLS?

This is a great guy who will greatly benefit his new community. Family first, for sure, and he has found a great way to blend his great talents also here, awesome. He is a great giver, Pleasanton will miss him and family, ouch, but he’s off to continue to do what he does so well, helping and teaching others as well as being a great Dad and leader. He’s an EBAL Hall of Famer, if not more.

That is great for he and his family, and he can at least keep a eye on his sons career since he won’t be far away. I am sure it’s hard to coach high school and focus on that while your Son or daughter is competing on the college level in any sport.
