Bishop O’Dowd is graduating three Division I bound seniors from its girls basketball team, but the future still looks bright. Today, Dragons center Kendall “K.C.” Waters was named the Cal-Hi Sports state Freshman of the Year. Waters is just one of four ultra-talented Bishop O’Dowd freshmen. Ariell Bostick saw lots of playing time at point guard this year while post players Breanna Brown and Odera Chidom are already ridiculously tall at 6-foot-3 and 6-2, respectively. Watch out for the Dragons in 2013!

I am not surprised by the award of State Freshman of the Year to Kendall, but what an honor! She works very hard and has excellent basketball smarts.

Props to Kendall. I am around the school and watch a lot of teams practice. I have seen some BOD wbb practices. Kendall works hard and is a great team player. Hope she stays on task.
