I just talked to Deer Valley girls basketball coach Lindsay Wisely and she confirmed that she has resigned to take the head coaching job at Las Positas College. Here’s what I’ve written for tomorrow’s paper:

Lindsay Wisely, who posted a 116-32 record as Deer Valley High’s girls basketball coach over the last five years, has resigned to take over the head women’s basketball job at Las Positas College.
“It’s been kind of a goal of mine to move up through the ranks,” Wisely said. “I was extremely happy at Deer Valley, it’s my alma mater. I kind of felt like it was a good time to move on… Las Positas is awesome. It just seemed like a great opportunity.”
Wisely took over as the Wolverines’ coach before the 2005-2006 season, a year after finishing her playing career at Saint Mary’s College. Deer Valley won four Bay Valley Athletic League titles and advanced to the North Coast Section Division I playoffs in all five of her season as head coach. Her teams were NCS finalists the last three seasons.
In what was considered a rebuilding year this past season, the Wolverines finished with a 24-8 record and advanced to the Northern California regional semifinals where they lost to eventual state champion Oak Ridge 65-63.
At Las Positas, Wisely will guide a team that went 2-21 last season.
