Deer Valley’s Jesse White won a hardship 400-meter race Monday at Los Medanos College and will run in the event at the North Coast Section Tri-Valley Area Championships Saturday, coach Bernard Stephens confirmed.
White, who did not compete in the Bay Valley Athletic League championships because of a hamstring injury, ran 52.03 in the hardship race. He will run in just the 400 meters Saturday, Stephens said. White, a junior, has a 400 time of 47.90 seconds, which ranks fourth in the state this high school season according to DyeStat.com.

Bhsfan,
Yes I will be at the state track meet this weekend. I agree with you. It was a great MOC meet this year.
As for Monte Corley, unfortunately he injured himself at practice on Wednesday of last week. He tripped over a hurdle and strained his hamstring and suffered some scrapes, bumps and bruises, according to coach Lee Webb. Tough break for him.
