I think you may be right..a triple could be a reality for the girl from Clovis…I am with you, it was my first time at State (my boy qualified in the 300 and 110 hurdles but did not move on to Saturday) It was pretty damm exciting…thanks for the coverage. Now looking forward to Football!

It was actually only my second state meet (first since 2005), but it was a pretty incredible one. I’m still feeling juiced for getting to be there to see Ashton run. Since I was so focused on the East Bay folks, I didn’t get to enjoy a few of the other incredible races as much, but you could feel the energy in the stadium.

And Mikeyb, yeah the Clovis girl is Jenna Prandini. She was pretty incredible as well. She’s only a junior, so don’t be surprised if she pulls off a triple gold medal performance next year.

I thought the girl from Clovis (Prandini, I believe her name is) was fast as she came in with a time of 11:34…not to be outdone, Purvis blazed to a time of 11:22…Unfortunately, I was not there to see the 11:17! I can only imagine! the one day I was in Clovis, I was impressed with the athletes and speed that our great State of CA produces…
