MLK Classic lineup set

Here’s a little hoops news in the middle of football season. The lineup for the 2011 Martin Luther King Classic at Haas Pavilion has been set. Here it is.
10:15 a.m.: Monte Vista vs. San Leandro (boys)
12 p.m.: St. Mary’s-Stockton vs. St. Mary’s-Berkeley (girls)
1:45 p.m.: Newark Memorial vs. St. Mary’s-Berkeley (boys)
3:30 p.m.: Castro Valley vs. Salesian (boys)
5:15 p.m.: Sacramento vs. Bishop O’Dowd (boys)
7 p.m.: Sheldon-Sacramento vs. De La Salle
Another solid lineup put on by the folks over at De La Salle.

Old Skool, the event will be the Monday of MLK weekend, which is January 17.

That is a great lineup of games as usual, but I too am surprised that it doesn’t include Carondelet. We’ll still get to see E_CULB’s sis take on defending state champ St. Mary’s of Stockton. Every game looks interesting. It is getting my hoops blood going, even though we haven’t even started regular season football yet.

I misread that one grl’s game. I thought it said Berkeley (girls), but it is St. Mary’s of Berkeley Girls. Still a good matchup, but E_CULB’s sis won’t be playing

Thats really to bad if Carondelet and B-hi aren’t playing @ Haas. Berk has at least 4 BCS kids and Clet has at least 3 BCS kids….that should/will be a great girls game.
Maybe the sisters of carondelet got in a fight with the priest from DLS and got kicked out of MLk…lol
