I don’t have all the figures….But Jared Leaf ran up over 200 yards and scored six touchdowns for Alhambra as the guy just trampled El Molno’s defense…His big play was a run up the middle where he broke thru the Lion line like a shot out of a gun and covered about 60 yards…..The Bulldogs won 55-35…

As far as we can tell, Jared Leaf of Alhambra ran for close to 300 yards. Lost track on the touchdowns, but we think it was 5. He runs track, and is a lot faster than he looks. He cuts well for a big guy, and knows how to use his blockers. Trevor Davis ran a punt back over 70 yards for a TD, and also caught a 35 yard TD pass from new transfer Adam Nesheim.

Alhambra – Miramonte should be a dandy of a game

Jared Leaf ended up with 323 yards, 5 touchdowns, and a receiving touchdown that was called back. What a great game to prepare for Las Lomas next week. Great game from the offensive line and both QB’s. Defense will have to play great next week!

So now that we know Pitt is very down and still hasent won a game do those wins by Mac and Berkeley mean anything? Its too bad because I know those two teams worked hard for that win. Tough times right now down in Pittsburgh

I SEE ENCINAL HAD A TOUGH NIGHT WITH THE HORNETS FRIDAY. THEY DON’T LOOK LIKE THEY WILL GET VERY FAR THIS YEAR IN NCS. THEY ARE VERY VERY VERY OVER RATED AND THEY ARE LUCKY THAT ALAMEDA WAS MISSING A FEW OF THERE BEST PLAYERS OR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DIFFERNT STORY. THERE SPEED IS OVER RATED AND THEY HAVE A SORRY DEFENSE THAT IS SOFT! THE JETS WILL BE ONE AND DONE THIS YEAR AND YOU QUOTE ME ON THAT!

I think PITT will upset 2 of the 3 out of either Heritage, Freedoom or Deer Valley. They always seem to bounce back during league play. They only have to win 5 games to get back to the play-offs.

Warrior Jacket, I don’t think Pitt beating Freedom would qualify as an upset, but agree they may win 2 of those 3 games. It is my understanding that Pitt would just need to be .500 in league to qualify, so 3-2 in the BVAL would get them in and they could do that by just beating Freedom, Liberty & Antioch.
In order to qualify or NCS, you need to be at least .500 either 1) overall, 2) in league, or 3) against teams from your division.
If Pitt wins 2 of 3 against those teams you mentioned, they would surely beat either Liberty, Antioch or both and get in. Of course, if they finish 3-7 overall, they may be seeded 16th and have to face DLS in the 1st round instead of the finals, but I do think they’ll sneak in.
