I started coaching O Ohigh in 2006. I was the JV Head Coach. I brought players to the program that i coached on the Dynamites that were apart of 4 championship teams (Charles Cobb, Damante Horton, Edward Davis, David Douglas, Virgil Bridges). 75 % of our 9-2 Team that was Co-OAL champs ive been coaching since Pee wee level. They were already used to winning. They have been champions before and already knew my system. It was just a matter of time before they adjusted to high school ball. In my opinion it was already turned around. Four of my boys got scholarships.

The OAL commissioner needs to act on this statement. If he don’t than the commissioner & the OAL is a joke.

Coach Murphy should be the new Head Coach at Oakland High because he has the ability to turn the program around plus he has proven record.

If O-High beats Skyline this week that will be a good way for Murphy deserves the Head Coaching job at Oakland High. Since he has been back Oakland has been improving.

I know, but for real, unless u step foot in their shoes u have no idea what any coach has to endure up there at O-High. If anything encourage them, u see they have been firing coaches left and right up there, who cares about records, the more important thing is can O-High keep a coach longer than 2 years! As of late, no!

@44 you are right about Coach Murphy being the Head Coach the combo of Coach Murphy and Coach Cooper up there would build a problem not just putting teams out there.

Just look at the group of young men of the last few years from there and winning games there..speaks for its self if you really look at it…….

Coach Murphy, Who are the next boys you are bringing in from the Dynamites? If they are anything like Horton, Douglas Cobbs and Bridges O-High will regain the respect when you were playing there.
