Has the HAAL All-League been decided yet?
November 16th, 2010 at 9:20 pm
Most likely. I think they usually have the meeting almost immediately after the season ends. But it hasn’t been sent to us. You’ll need it up here pretty much as soon as we receive it.

BSAL Player,
Moreau is well represented and at least seven juniors on the list for next year’s team. I think Pantoja from Moreau should have been included, hard to ingnore 20 yards per catch average.

CHANCE MOSES SHOULD HAVE BEEN A FIRST TEAM SELECTION AT RB.
November 17th, 2010 at 1:06 pm
@ Warrior Jacket…Chance Moses OVER Naji Patrick????? You don’t mean that, do you?
November 17th, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Warrior Jackie, I agree with you. Moses should have made First Team RB.
JustMaybe, not over Patrick but along with him. I don’t understand how the BSAL selects their All-League teams, because last year they had 5 or 6 RB’s on the First Team. Moses is also a good LB and also could have been selected as LB.

Would’ve liked to see Encinal Right tackle Aaron Ve’e Make it. He had a good year. Jet Pride!
November 17th, 2010 at 6:37 pm
moses had 6 yard per carry average, thats not 1st team to me

I feel like Jr. Adam Sagapolu should of gotten linemen of the year as a Jr. he started both ways and had an impressive season.

James Carter, 1st Team LB? Really? St Marys didn’t start winning until David Thomas came back fully and he get Honorable Mention? Chance Moses should have been 1st team too! Do over please!!!

Who should be the coach of the year in the BSAL? My vote would be for the head coach at Moreau Catholic. They were 0-10 in 2008 and 6-3-1 this year and should’ve been in the playoffs.

THEY ONLY PICK 1 RB FOR ALL LEAGUE IN THE BSAL? WOW EVEYONE ELSE PICKS AT LEAST 2. THE COACHES SHOULD NOT HAVE WENT FOR THAT ESPECIALLY MINOR AT ST MARY’S. PUSH YOUR KIDS DON’T PIMP THEM FOR WINS ONLY, I’M JUST SAYING!

WHAT PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY PARENTS, FELL TO REALIZE IN THIS HIGH SCHOOL COAHING GAME IS A HEAD COACH HAS A LOT OF INFLUENCE ON A RECRUITER WHEN IT COMES TO PRESENTING OR PUSHING HIS PLAYERS FOR SCHOLARSHIP OFFERS. EVEN THOUGH HE CANNOT MAKE A COLLEGE RECRUITER SIGN HIS PLAYER(S), HE CAN HUSTLE FOR KIDS BY SENDING FILM AND SPEAKING WELL ABOUT THE KID ON HIS BEHALF. SOME COACHES PICK AND CHOSE WHO THEY REALLY WANT TO PUSH. FIGHTING FOR YOUR KIDS TO MAKE ALL LEAGUE TEAMS IS ONE OF THE FACTORING INDICATORS HOW A HEAD COACH CARES AND WANTS TO PUSH YOUR KIDS.

NOT SO FAST MOSES WAS OVER 7 YARDS PER CARRY AND DID THIS RUNNING BEHIND AN INEXPERIENCED LINE. ALSO HE REALLY ONLY BECAME THE FULL TIME BACK THE FOURTH GAME OF THE YEAR.AS I STATED EARLIER HE ALSO WAS A GOOD LINEBACKER ALSO. HE DESERVED TO MAKE THE 1ST TEAM.

What no one knows is what goes on in those league meetings. Also what is not kbown is how much goes on behind the scenes to get kids recruited. People also have to understand that there is a height weight speed ratio that colleges look at. If you don’t fall into those parameters recruiters won’t even listen. That is what a lot of parents don’t understand or even care to listen to. There are a lot of people that spend a lot of time (unpaid) putting things together for these kids. And a lot of times parents don’t even give these people any credit.
