Great Segment on The Today Show called “Are your Teens Oversharing Online”
It talks about how teens are oversharing too much on Facebook and how it is hurting them in College Recruitment, job offers. Moms looking for reliable and trusting babysitters check out who those potential babysitters are hanging with. Kids are losing scholarships because of the things they are posting and talking about on facebook. It mentions how things are not private even on a private setting forever left on the internet. The main point is anyone can see what is being said (including photos) on facebook and in many cases parents or other adults have no idea what these teens are doing. Very helpful for parents.

The stats were from MaxPreps, so not sure how accurate they are. Oddly, he’s the only player with his stats listed for that season for Eastside Prep.

Giles is a good kid but was 4th on the depth chart at MV. He didn’t want to play JV ball so sat behind alot of people on the Varsity then when they brought up JV team for playoffs he fell behind those guys as well. He moved after that.

I was just kidding and didn’t expect him to have attended a 4th school, but that is excellent knowledge there Jimmy. Down to the tenth of a point averages. If I were a college coach, I would be weary of someone like this jumping ship to another program, but he may have some good reasons for the transfers he can share with prospective coaches. He must be a pretty good player as he made 3rd team All East Bay at DB and has evidently done very well at some camps. Good luck to this young man.

Paydirt, you are correct. I know Mikayla Lyles (now at UC Berkeley) transferred from Amador Valley to Bishop O’Dowd 2 years ago and had to sit out her junior year of basketball, but was able to play soccer that year as she had not played that sport at AV.

Well I guess that make 4 different high schools in 4 years. Lol! That is insane that a parent would move 4 times in 4 years. It doesn’t make any since. I wonder how they got that around NCS.
