All-East Bay Volleyball First, Second and Third teams.

FIRST TEAM

Mary Vaccaro, Senior, Outside Hitter, Campolindo
Vaccaro returned to the Cougars after a two-year hiatus and became the heart and soul of their state championship run. Vaccaro finished with 471 kills on the season, but more importantly, the DFAL MVP was the emotional leader, providing endless energy while on the floor.

Caitlin DeWitt, Senior, Outside Hitter, Foothill
The EBAL MVP was an absolute force this year, and was the top pure hitter in the North Coast Section, without a doubt. DeWitt had 646 kills, good for a .490 hitting percentage and also had 358 digs for the EBAL and NCS Division I champion Falcons.

Sabrina Clayton, Sophomore, Outside Hitter, California
Just a sophomore, Clayton was decorated with all-EBAL honors and deservedly so. She finished with 421 kills, and she also had 44 aces, 37 assists and 36 blocks for a Grizzlies team that reached the NCS Division I semifinals.

Katie Lopez, Senior, Middle, Irvington
Lopez featured the most feared jump serve in the North Coast Section, totaling an astounding 127 aces. She led the Vikings to the MVAL title and a Division I quarterfinal appearance thanks in large part to having 427 kills and 201 digs as well.

Kelsey Williams, Senior, Setter, Amador Valley
Williams showed why she was the best pure setter in the North Coast Section as she compiled 841 assists, 276 digs and 186 kills, earning strong consideration for the MVP award in the EBAL. A year after winning the Division I crown, Williams guided the Dons back to the semifinals.

Lindsey Parrott, Senior, Setter, Bishop O’Dowd
Parrott, who is bound to play at Cal next year, is incredible versatility wise. Not only is she a great setter, but she is also one of the top outside hitters in the North Coast Section as well. She was named the HAAL MVP as she finished with 390 assists, and had 199 kills.

Sophie Smith, Senior, Libero, Campolindo
Smith had to battle stiff competition to win the libero job for the Cougars, and she backed it up by coming through in all of the big games. Her performance in the fifth game of the state title match alone warrants her selection, and she also had over 500 digs and was second team All-DFAL.

SECOND TEAM

Rachel Kinnard, Senior, Outside Hitter, Amador Valley.
457 kills, 316 digs. First team All-EBAL.

Erin Sherwood, Junior, Outside Hitter, San Ramon Valley
459 kills, 123 digs. First team All-EBAL

Konami Yokoyama, Senior, Outside Hitter, Washington
495 kills. First team All-MVAL

Chandler Moore, Senior, Middle, Campolindo
256 kills, 103 blocks. First team All-DFAL.

Sophie Seiberth, Sophomore, Setter, Campolindo
1,222 assists (East Bay leader). Second team All-DFAL.

Keesh Tolentino, Senior, Setter, Deer Valley
918 assists, 153 digs. BVAL MVP.

Melissa Summer, Junior, Libero, Granada
568 digs. First team All-EBAL.

THIRD TEAM

Kelly Shaver, Senior, Outside Hitter, Granada
255 kills, 219 digs, 81 aces. First team All-EBAL.

Kyra Holt, Sophomore, Outside Hitter, Albany
366 kills. BSAL MVP.

Abbie Noland, Senior, Outside Hitter, Campolindo
294 kills. First team All-DFAL

Jessica Vestal, Junior, Middle, Berean Christian
272 kills. DVAL MVP.

Chelsey Hancock, Junior, Setter, Heritage
605 assists, 64 blocks. First team All-BVAL.

Sophia Mar, Sophomore, Setter, Bishop O’Dowd
360 assists, 36 kills. First team All-HAAL.

Katie Hirsch, Junior, Libero, Monte Vista
1860 touches, 94 percent put in play. Honorable Mention All-EBAL.

If I could put together an honorable mention list for All-East Bay, it would include…

Danielle Loramo, Outside Hitter, Logan; Camille Condit, Outside Hitter, Clayton Valley; Brooke DeMiguel, Outside Hitter, Castro Valley; Michelle Lawrence, Outside Hitter, Northgate; Courtney Quinn, Outside Hitter, Heritage; Alexa Borg, Middle, Foothill; Sarah Vaccaro, Setter, Miramonte; Ally Good, Setter, California; Allison Simmons, Libero, California.
