Go Berkeley!

2 huge wins for Berkeley this past week in Carondelet and Del Oro. With Monte Vista losing to Cal last night, and Clayton Valley beating Northgate handily, I sense some upheaval at the bottom of the rankings. Dublin and Livermore are both playing well right now and are close to HM status. The Dublin-Acalanes game next week should be a good one and may keep the loser out of the HM status.
Campolindo Shootout: Dougherty plays Mitty this weekend in what should be a great game, but even if they win they may stay #4 if SMB beats Pinewood since SMB already beat Mitty earlier this season. Berkeley’s schedule doesn’t get any easier this weekend with #5 BOD looming. #6 Campo faces a strong St. Francis of Sacto team as well. Some great games in Moraga on Saturday.

Deer Valley #9? Seriously? WOW….After last weeks Ali vs. Frazier incident, I’m surprised they’re even still playing this season. Hey Coach….get control of your team, we don’t want to see a bunch of female thugs on the court! Coach Wisely would never have put up with that!

Since we (Clayton Valley) beat Northgate and are 18-2, do you think we will finally soon be on the polls?

CVEAGLES – I do think with that win over the (at least) 3-time defending Broncos that CV should now be at HM status. NG was not in the polls either, but they have been a pretty good team for a long time now and that is an impressive win. Acalanes beat Dublin last night, which was a good win for them. Monte Vista lost to Cal this week, the same team that gave CV one of their only 2 losses. There are a lot of really good teams ahead of CV in the polls, but 18-2 is hard to ignore. Keep winning and you’ll be impossible to ignore.
