Former San Ramon Valley High star wideout Chris Carter, the 2004 North Coast Section Offensive Player of the Year, has signed a future contract with the Seattle Seahawks. The 2009 Great West Conference Offensive Player of the Year at UC Davis, Carter had 85 receptions for 889 yards and four scores as an Aggies senior.
In the 2004 season at San Ramon Valley, Carter had 63 catches for 1,515 yards (24.0 avg.) and 19 touchdowns. He helped the Wolves to an 11-2 record and the NCS 3A East Bay championship. He was voted MVP of the section title game after scoring three touchdowns in a 46-20 win over Las Lomas.

That is awesome! Congrats to Chris and good luck. Where has he been playing the past two years – Canada eh?

I see the article has been updated and now says he last played at Davis in 2009 and not 2008. Does anyone know if he played at all in 2010, or had tryouts with any NFL teams?

Hey Prep Fan: A little short on details at this point. I have done some digging and found that a knee injury kept Chris from being drafted last year. Not sure what he’s been doing the past year, probably rehabbing.

Wasn’t Freeney slated for Arizona previously? PAC 10 school either way. At least we’ll get to watch him play on TV.
