Schram in at Miramonte

Little bit of football news this morning. Got an email from Miramonte High this morning to tell us that Jack Schram, former Encinal coach and Miramonte assistant over the last several years, has been named the new head coach of the Matadors. This one isn’t really a shock, as Schram takes over with plenty of experience.

I’ll have more for ya this afternoon.

This was Encinals head coach before coach Tenerio right?

  • Old Former Meddling Coach

Yeah he was there in the 90’s. He was Coach Joe’s Coach.

  • Jack Schram may have lost a lot of seniors from Wade’s team, but he has a JV team that should step right in and give Ross Anderson the support he needs for another run at the DFAL crown…The playoff’s could be tough as there are a number of teams that will be a serious threat. the DFAL will also be a challenge as Acalanes, Dublin, Daughtery Valley and maybe Campolindo have strong teams returning…Las Lomas is still a year away and Alhambra has a lot of IF’S to deal with….

He’ll have that 3rd year starter stud varsity D1 prospect QB tho.

  • Ben, your article is wrong on Insidebayarea.com about Coach Shram. He coached 5 teams to the play-offs 90, 94, 96, 97, 05.

    Another good hire for Miramonte.

Schram is proven, a good man by all accounts and has the wins to back things up.

I am sure Wade felt much better about going to Dublin, understanding that he was leaving the Matadors in very capable hands in Schram.

    A win win

Hey coach. I actually got that from the story that ran when he stepped down. Certainly possible it was off. Thanks for the heads up.

How good of a coach is Schram? Looking at his record when he was a head coach tells me not so good. Maybe things will change since he watched Wade at Miraminte for a few years.

schram is an excellent coach and a talented play caller. miramonte is in good hands. he basically was co offensive coordinator with wade and all the kids love playing for him
