CV played horrible also, they made a lot of mistakes too. These two teams were supposed to the best in the division. DVAL is not looking good this year. PV and Carondelet will be the teams to beat in D2.

I am not impressed with my CHS team. From players who think they all that to the staff, at least they last year’s team… Their true test will be next week vs. James Logan…

Your right it’s super obvious that a coach that won NCS last year and that sits at 14-3 is clueless. The pitching has been spotty but it was the mental errors that yesterday that point to the need to reflect before play-offs.

Concord doesn’t need to worry about rankings, there are too many issues in the team right now. The players hate each other, and their coaches. They lack pitching and team unity. Even though they won today, still they looked bad. Hey coach, let your coaches coach. Your players don’t run the team…

I would agree with the suspect losses if I truly believed they were considered for all teams.

Livermore lost to Benicia as well. Livermore was also shut out by Foothill in league competition.

As to your point for Concord being ahead of Antioch; ditto for Monte Vista being ahead of Livermore.

It typical not just all about the big wins a team has, and preseason games mean little, especially when determing the poll standings. MV is likely being judged by the suspect losses to Arroyo, Benecia, and Oak Ridge along with their 8 – 8 record.

MV is a good offensive team, and will likely be in the hunt during NCS, but for now you’ll need to just accept that 8 – 8 is likely what MV is being judged on.

Concord should be ahead of Antioch, if for nothing else, for having beat them head to head.

It’s strange what is happening at AV? Like last season they came on strong and then faded when they got into their league schedule. I for one thought they would roll, based on seeing them early on…..what’s gong on over there?

I’m not sure what criteria the staff uses to develop this poll; it seems to have holes. Monte Vista, just like last year, seems to be flying under the radar.

To date they’ve beaten the following teams in your poll: Alhambra – twice; preseason and Livermore Stampede, Freedom, Antioch, Concord in preseason scrimmages and most recently, Livermore (just before the poll came out).

They also beat an NCS ranked team in Rodriguez at the Livermore Stampede. Don’t forget, Monte Vista was the only EBAL team left standing at NCS last year.

I think it’s time to give Monte Vista the ranking they deserve.

9 D1 teams, 4 D2 teams and 2 D3 teams in the rankings. It should be interesting come NCS time.

D1 loaded with lots of good teams, I picked Amador Valley early on and will stick with it. A number of teams could win it.

I like Pinole in D2 but can’t count out Concord. I don’t know too much about the teams from the other area.

Alhambra has to be the favorite for D3. I know Tamalpais could be in the running too.

I am being nit picky but FYI to the voters, Concord has a better record than Antioch and beat AHS at the Antioch turny 6-1 in their only meeting.
