Three East Bay players are among the 440 nominees for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. De La Salle quarterback Bart Houston, San Ramon Valley quarterback Zach Kline and Salesian offensive lineman Freddie Tagaloa are nominees for the game that will be played on Jan. 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. on NBC. Click here for a full list of the nominees. Kline has already accepted an invitation to the Under Armour All-American game on Jan. 5, so I’d expect that’s where we’ll see him play rather than in this game.

Who would win in a board drill. Encinal’s Morrow or Salesian’s Freddie Tagaloa? I would love to see that.

Morrow would destroy F. Tagaloa. However, Tagaloa is a true force and freak of nature. Too bad he plays in that trash garbage of a league and never plays anybody.

Mr. Han….I don’t think that would happen….Tagaloa like a lot of kids show up in certain leagues that may not look tough, but Tagaloa can hold his own and Morrow has to be one of the solid line men…but if they were to face off….I would hate to live on the difference….these smaller leagues produce some good football teams that could match up or give the larger teams a game….if they ventured better scheduling…

Wish him well….but? Last season he had 8 picks with only 10 Td’s @ 59% and he gets a invite to the Under Amour All-American game & Army All-American Bowl. I heard he’s good in Drills but don’t ya need to be good at the game anymore? Those stats are horrible!

Kline does very well in drills and combines. He has all of the measurable skills you want in a QB at the next level, I just do not think he is that great. The potential is there, no question about that but played against him last year and saw him as an average HS QB.
I hope the CAL staff is able to tap into that potential and he can do good things there.

How does Jeff Lockie not get an invite? 1st team all league and crushed those other QB’s numbers. These events are so political drives me crazy. Someone please explain this to me.
