Skyline star signs

Skyline High cross country and track star Cameron Trinh has signed with Eastern Michigan. He said that his final decision was between the Eagles and UC Riverside. He took official visits to UC Riverside, Eastern Michigan and the University of San Francisco in the spring, enjoyed the trails at Eastern Michigan and the wide set of options there that deal with his major, which is pharmaceutical medicine.
Trinh, a 2010 all-East Bay selection in cross country in his senior season, won the Oakland Section boys title by more than a minute and finished third among East Bay runners at the California Interscholastic Federation Division III state championship race. In track, Trinh swept the distance races at the Oakland Section championships with victories in the 1,600 meters (a meet-record 4 minutes, 22.18 seconds), 800 and 3,200. He had the third-fastest East Bay time this season in the 3,200 (9:18.13).
