Just checked the NCS website and found that the Campolindo-Alameda baseball game, a rematch of last year’s Division II championship, has been postponed due to rain. They’ll lock horns tomorrow at 5 p.m. at Lincoln Park.

Just got an email informing us that Robert Stephenson, the Alhambra High right-hander projected to be a first-round draft pick in next week’s Major League Baseball draft, has been named the Gatorade Player of the Year for California.

Stephenson is now a finalist for the Gatorade National POY award, which has been won by names like Derek Jeter, Roy Halladay and Chipper Jones.
